me and a few friends were considering Congress hosting an event in Dublin where it would be a proper tourney. Our idea is teams of 3 people would fight work their way up the brackets. Maybe some sponsors come in offering something for the winning teams? Credits? Sci Data? Armor upgrades ect?

Is this something people might be interested? This would be a sort of "Olympics" if you will where anyone from across Sirius could come to prove their worth. Hessians/Order/Corsair.
Another idea is a sort of transport escort event. Team A would escort a Cap 8 Bret Liner while Team B attacks it. Then Team B Escorts while Team A attacks whoever has the most health at the end of a set route wins.


Thoughts on these types of in game events?

I think it would be interesting seeing groups from across disco coming together for some "friendly" Competition.
Would there be a "buy in" or cost to register a team for the events?
Could a team be made up of any 3 players that can claim RP justification to team or would it be tied to faction/ID?
Other than 3v3 dogfights and escort defense, could races or capture the flag style events be run? Could there be events for larger or smaller team sizes?

Pay entrance fee, gauntlet style elimination. It was always fun to see everyone chat there and bet who wins or loses.
