It looks like the only thing that only pirates pay for the survival of the server is because all the innovations happen only in their favor. and if not,
why not any changes for pro- law- traders like a serenity with bs-guns or torpedoes? to blast the scum where it belongs to?
How about no.
The balance used to be a bit more even back in the day, but these days the balance is indeed firmly in the pirate's favor. In Bowex's early days, a lone Shire had a good 50-50 shot against a pirate bomber or gunboat, and a full Shire convoy was a real force to be reckoned with. I wouldn't mind seeing transports, particularly the heavily gunned battle transports, get a bit of a buff. Battleship guns, though, is a bit much.
Serenity very dangerous as it is. Any small transport very dangerous in really. Its just doesnt intended to blow cruisers, but it can just run from it. Trader can also just dock without being PvP dead in full sense.
For heavy defence with alot of cargo there exists battletransports. Well, here i agree that choise not so big, and only bison/stegodon is true BT, shire is something worthful and all rest is trash, working ***** in convoys.
Of course its intended that military/policy/bounty hunters will defend you. Also if you want hunt/blast scum instead of trading, you can play those IDs and use appropriate hardware, like battlecruiser.
thx for all these answers.
only the one, thinking i m not worth...i not have an answer for him

Not sure what you're doing, but I still win 95% of my pirate encounters, even when outnumbered. In fact, with a economy where everybody can farm a cap in a day or two, the combat docking rules for transports and all that, it has never been easier to win/flee from a pirate. All it takes is a little practice. And battleship guns should not replace practice on other classes too lol.
Escorting traders was a serious business for BHG. Every faction leader could contract us on a chat we had for that.
Now every trader wants it ali cheap, fast and solo. On a multiplayer server.
Being a pirate is already awful.
