Time passed since Andrew Wilson, promising new recruit joined Liberty Police inc. ranks. He was an engineer at his heart, but not a fulfilled sense of justice demanded from him to take a more active role in eliminating threats to Liberty, stopping criminals from their misdeeds and protecting the safety of citizens.

He climbed career ladder with dedication, going fast through it and in a short time proved himself as a recruit worthy enough to become an officer, his career didn't stop there, as he flew through Officer rank to Detective, becoming quite obsessed with undercover job. His path continued to be catching criminals, solving big cases and even really mysterious in their origins ones, writing detailed reports he reached Sergeant rank while doing not only his duties but continuing his higher education pursuit in his dream to make new equipment for police, to get some edge against a plague of different criminal organizations existing in Liberty.

He acquired a friend Robert while patrolling, a freelancer riding intensively equipped VHF "Unmistakable" coming from omicron systems from time to time. While having communications with him, a need arose for Andrew Wilson to have some encryption to be used. Not trusting Neural Net enough as a threat of Lane Hackers persists. And being paranoid enough to not use standard encryption protocol, Wilson made his own encryption tool to have proper protection by AES-256-CBC, while additionally information is properly encoded and decoded using transport protocol Base64, which allowed him to transform any info to encrypted and decrypted text without corruption. Including neural net messages which previous tools had trouble to decode back without loss in code and format messaging parts.

Encountering on his job people speaking different languages from the standard one, Wilson made another tool to easier police job, this time it was built into an intercom, translating program, allowing him to have interactions he could not have otherwise, speaking with Rheinlanders, or even ocassional coallition speaking smugglers, spreading the law to all people around.

One of the favorites things for Wilson to do is to make an analysis of which ships and equipment work great in any situation and in his hands. Months ago when he first started to fly LSC, it ended in a battle against Zoner Battleship ~USS~Stardust~. It was certainly rich for events first cruiser flight ever for just Officer Andrew Wilson at the moment, but it made him realize his love for slim cruiser forms and powerful siege gun installed to Archer ship.

It was a cruiser belonging directly to LPI at the moment, but as he reached Sergeant rank and sufficient clearance, he went for a personal cruiser LPI-SWAT-Rikers, experimenting with different layouts and investing everything he has in his ship. He noticed of course, that Archer behaved the best at distance, while in close combat there could be trouble against other cruisers unless he accurately forward gun them to their death. Last battle against unioner cruisers made him realize a wish for even better improvements to his ship, as if he would be better only by 2% in evading or firepower, he would be able flying to a shipyard for repairs on his own, instead of relying on arrived Battle Cruiser to tow his ship back.

Analyzing different guns available to civilian and military market in Liberty, it became obvious to Andrew. Plasma-based Magma Hammer guns were the best in their efficiency to spend power core energy in making devastating damage to enemy vessels. Their only drawback was in low fire rate, making them double-edged weapons for small crafts, but when it comes to capital ships firing at each other, low fire rate isn't an issue due to different sizes and speeds in happened battles.

Analyzing further similar guns, we can see usage of plasma based weaponry in gunboats vessels. Cerberus Turrets of Rheinland origins became known to Sirius wide market a long time ago. But they remained to be using Rheinland technologies in their nature, still showing how energy providence in gathering capacity, discharging and software algorithms changed from using plasma technologies for small craft to bigger crafts.

Further research continued in analyzing Cerberus turret for cruiser level energy handling. How it changed from gunboat level, how much different materials and adjustments should be made to make this weaponry developed from gunboat level to Cruiser level. Certainly, Rheinland predecessor gun Fire Kiss made significant history developing to a gunboat and later to cruiser ship classes. But, the gun remained to be Rheinland one, and released version to Sirius-wide market was not of highest military grade either, as the best blueprints Rheinland certainly left for themselves.

Everything to upgrade our own Liberty plasma-based technology became ready. Rheinland researchers already made all work for us, Cerberus turret was used for a long time already and gathered data of how it works is enough to apply the same method to Military grade Liberty technologies.

Andrew Wilson after reaching Sergeant rank received another clearance to use better technologies and even was approved to be involved in secrets made known for a short range of people, as long as he keeps them to themselves only. Not surprising here, as he was already involved in situations before, which should be left unknown.

Getting Magma Hammer blueprints with his access, he used Cerberus turret layout, to magnify Magma Hammer size to cruiser level, while replacing all civilian grade parts from Cerberus turret with Military-grade Liberty technologies available to his access. A resulting gun named Cruiser Blaster became with less fire rate than Magma Hammer, while at the same time faster than Cerberus turret. Damage per shot very slightly decreased, but power usage became more efficient too due to better military materials and electronics, and improved algorithm with less energy being wasted to heating and electromagnetic discharges.

Final testing showed the next statistics for the new gun

Cruiser Blaster:

Hull damage Shield Dmg Power Usage Refire Speed
18000 9000 43000 1.33 900

Wilson made all alpha testing and recalibrating for the gun, and decided that one gun made for further testing on board of LPI-SWAT-Rikers is enough for a beginning.

The gun was successfully tested in real battle against an outcast destroyer. The target was neutralized with a good remaining amount of nanobots on our vessel.

Further testing was conducted in virtual simulation against a recreated model of a heavy cruiser "Vidar". It showed that only one new gun makes barely enough sufficient firepower to face it in close combat.

I was slightly hesitant in creating and installing the second gun due to reason, having Light Mortar, which gives additional flexibility in a combat situation and allows us to shoot small targets when the timing is right. But hearing advice from experienced Archer captain, he proved me wrong by reminding, that we already have a siege gun against bigger targets for long-range battles, while new plasma gun will make me efficient against enemy cruisers.

As for my worries to blast smaller targets, he recommended trying to use a sequencing firing, which considering their characteristics should be enough for good hit-ratio.

taking into consideration all the gathered data, I will finish equipping my cruiser with a doubled amount of prototypes, which opens a new possibility for me. Since their power consumption is enough to use more power than it's generated by the vessel's power core, I can use secondary weapon slots to install pulse guns to deal better long-range damage against shields in preparation for enemy vessels to be shredded by siege gun from afar or by plasma-based weaponry.
