Lasaro Sanz died in hospital

Former Director of the Soledad Assembly, Lasaro Sanz, died in hospital last week from as of yet unknown causes. The hospital and the Imperial Coalition have been tight lipped on what could have caused the early death of a man who has contributed so much to the cause. Sanz was an instrumental and important figure within the organisation, being one of the key players in bringing a number of groups together to form the famed Soledad Assembly. Alberto Cortina has succeeded him in this role, Alberto was Sanz's right hand man and the Assembly welcomed him with little reservation.

Imperial Marshals

Recently the Imperial Coalition has re-organised itself and so fashioned more militaristic branches into its structure. This expansion has come with the Soledad Assembly raising concerns that their interests could be sidelined for the increased say that new Marshal branches have. Rodrigo Diaz has came out to express that the Marshals were a necessary step towards the future consolidation and organisation of the group, and that the interests of the Assembly are still one of the foremost thoughts when moving forward.

Corsairs make an attempt.

The Corsairs established a new outpost within the atmosphere of Planet Knossos, unfortunately for them the station was noticed by members of the Imperial Coalition. Strangely the base defences did not activate in the presence of Outcast forces, and so a courtesy message was broadcasted. Here the Corsairs attempted to deploy a ruse, after naming their station "Corsair Guard" they attempted to claim the station was a freelancer base even though they suggested that Knossos was Corsair space, they named the station after the Corsairs and were so obviously were working with the Corsairs. Outcast forces were deployed to the area and after a siege lasting a few days with many engagements against the Corsair defenders, the base was destroyed.

The attack on the base provoked a response from the fat man himself. His battle-group assailed the Outcasts forces a number of times, within Knossos and Omicron Beta. These fights then spilled into Omicron Xi were large fleet engagements had taken place. Ladron himself was rumoured have partaken in the battle, although other pilots on the scene allege that his personal disability craft was not present.

One expert noted that, after reports of the cloaking Legate-class Dreadnought, Floridablanca, were sent to military tacticians. That Pepe Ladron himself may use a personal cloaking device to raid the various fridges and pantries of Crete. This goes some way to explains how a man of his displacement in a world of starving children seems unaffected by civil unrest. Although other experts have claimed this theory to be nothing more than comically ludicrous as it assumes that the Corsairs know what happens when someone is gluttonous with food.

New Bounty Hunter Weapons?

During a foray into the Kyushu system, a Bounty Hunter was spotted armed with an unusual load-out. The weapons in question were not of typical origins as most hunter weaponry and the use of them has suggested that the guild have opened their doors to the, less than legal, arms trade. Only time will tell if any consequence will befall the hunters in their attempts to leverage more potent weaponry to deal with their ever present impotent skill.
