In 827, some months after the Gallic war, the Liberty forces finally had the option to strike against one of their biggest enemies, the Separatists. Separatist forces had already started to evacuate their most important assents from their main holdout in Bering. Though hiding in the independent worlds wouldn't be viable again, supply lines to their weakened Rheinland allies stretched thin.

So they acted in desperation, requesting asylum with the government of the other organisation of Navy rebels and defectors. The Commonwealth. With success of that request already planned, assets were moved toward Magellan when the message came that the Commonwealth would not tolerate the Separatists Navy to enter their territory.

While shock and the desperation to find an alternative was slowly getting a hold on the Separatists command, a new message would reach them days after.

The Commonwealth had been relieved as Legion forces pledged to assist Separatist forces instead. With forces now more than doubled, the former Commonwealth space was soon fortified and both organisations united under one banner.

Short term:
• Border security and sovereignty of claimed space
• Establishment of safe and defensive regions
• Preemptive strikes against smaller enemies

Medium term:
• Establishing a new government order on Veracruz and its attached territories
• Integration of civil and industrial complexes
• Restarting industrial developments on Veracruz
• Encouraging growth within Insurgency space
• Establishing supply lines

Long term:
• Expansion of military power through full recovery and growth of forces
• Expansion of civil power through growth on Veracruz and throughout Vespucci and Kansas
• Open attacks against core worlds of Liberty
• Recognition as the local sovereign force

The Insurgency Navy is under command of Fleet Admiral Victoria Knight. The two former organisations' command have been formed into the proven Navy structure.

With the former Separatist Battlegroup Harmony forming the main forces of the old Separatists, they're under command of Admiral Linford. Their craft consists of former Liberty Navy technology with their own modifications on them.

The former Legion forces were united under the command of Admiral West, forming the Battlegroup Gladius. These forces utilize the Legion craft that they're most familiar with reinforced by the technology their alliances achieved them over the years.

Each Admiral is backed up by a Vice Admiral, completing the High command of the Insurgency Navy.
