So as many of you know there was a mini event in game. This is the first of many in game mini events we wish to run and we have a few ideas in place. Given the outcome of this event I would like some feedback. Admittedly the event planning wasn't the best and it was organised fairly quick so this is something we need to improve on.

- What could we have done to make this more enjoyable and fun?
- What day and times would you like to see events on? Would you like them on the same time and day each time we do one?

We are aware of the reward issues at the end of the Omega 3 section due to us using a PoB. Please bare in mind that even though there are rewards that are offered you aren't always guaranteed to get one however we will try out best to make it so. If you were involved in Omega 3 please post your ship name and any proof you have of you being there and we will look at compensating you a little due to the issue with the PoB.

For future event we have a wide range of weapons and armours being added (or have already been added) to make these more interesting. We're working closely with the devs to get new things added in for you guys to fight against. Hopefully some new rewards to come as well.

Please bare in mind that balancing ships for these events will take a lot of trial and error (Hence why you saw battleships with nanobots) so sometimes they might be OP and sometimes they might be really weak. This mainly comes down to participation.

Purple did nothing wrong.

Also it felt very biased towards the faction with the most caps in the closest location. Maybe chose a location that's a bit further away from a lot of bases? Corsairs wouldn't have had time to move over to Omega 3. Could be interesting if it was conflicting with another House.

Was interesting to watch how Bretonia literally ganking everyone else.

Idk, maybe make event somewhere else?

A few hours earlier could be better, tbh.

- Do you have any ideas for future events?
Drop somewhere auxesian battlecruiser and make entire server hunt for it for reward. Said BCR shouldn't be capable to dock.

Not really liked it, got bored, had to sundive. 2/10

- Did you enjoy the event?
Nope, it was a bit boring. I played for 10 mins and logged off.

- What could we have done to make this more enjoyable and fun?
PvP instead of PvE. Or at least make the PvE interesting. Shooting at twitching NPCs that restore their shield every 3 seconds is not fun. Being shot at by projectiles you can't dodge is not fun either.

- What day and times would you like to see events on? Would you like them on the same time and day each time we do one?
An hour or two earlier than this one. I was already tired by the time it started.

- Do you have any ideas for future events?
Making Disco depend on events is bad, spontaneous pews are the best. There won't always be admins willing to make events. Better log on a faction you're a member of and start a raid than bother making an event.

- Any general feedback?
Don't lose hope for this place. Not all attempts to make it better will be successful, but what matters is to keep trying.

- Did you enjoy the event?
Yes I did, one of the first random event I have taken part off, due to my timezone it is tricky to be around peak hours.

- What could we have done to make this more enjoyable and fun?
Perhaps given the snubs a SHF/Freighter shield instead of a 50k transport shield. Just my take on it.

Friday-Saturday UTC most times around then when most players are around to join in.

If I think of any will let you know.

Nice to have a boost in activity and seeing players coming in to join in. Should keep them up but not to often, to get burned out from them.

Yes

Don't put snub aces in bombers and fighters with freighter shield, cap 10 armor and instakill guns. That is really too OP

Randomise it so everyone in different time zones can enjoy them

Interesting setup, but right now impossible to complete for people of average pvp skill.

I did enjoy the event a lot - even tho I died a lot >_>
Well, apart from it starting to get kinda boring after the one snub in O3 was ded (boring as in we had nothing to do anymore) it was REALLY enjoyable.
Time and day was fine, at least for me.
Would love to see some stuff like Snub-Events or escort smth and stuff ^^

Ship was btw 'Hunter's.Pride' got sadly no screens or stuff, only my DSAce-Logs which will be added below.

- Did you enjoy the event?
It was fun being able to experience something new. It was a good decision to enable respawning. I do agree with Thunderer about NPCs weapons, it's impossible to dodge them if they decide to have you as a target, which might not be fun to some people, but I didn't mind it too much, thanks to respawn.
Oh, and I almost forgot about Tau-23. An interesting take to have the event on 2 spots, since not everyone might have a BAF ship.


- What could we have done to make this more enjoyable and fun?
This event was pretty much having you log BAF or not get any rewards at all. Noone else had any chance of getting any rewards, and tbh, most people will always log the strongest faction if they care about getting a reward. I'd either give a chance for all sides to earn SOMETHING, or this might aswell have been a single faction focused event.

Second, if you didn't log in a battleship or a fighter, you were not able to get any weapons as a reward. I saw a cruisers/battlecruisers. I believe all they could get were cloaks and SciData. (or I simply didn't see CR/BC weapons, in which case, my bad)

And lastly, "first come, first serve" system with a pob will let one player get way more rewards than others, and each of these rewards were super expensive (Mind you, I was able to get nice stuff, but someone else might have not)

I usually fail to join events/raid during peak hours due to work. I was only able to join now because I am on vacation, but some people will never be able to participate in certain timezones, so changing it to give them a chance would be a good idea.

Can't think if any at this moment.

Experimenting with events like this is cool and it will give you data about what to do or not to do in future events, aswell as what players like or dislike. .Keep up putting the effort. With each event new ideas will come up and an amazing event will be created.

- Did you enjoy the event?
Yes, though likely only because I were flying caps with a fellow BD| and it was nice to see a few faction friends that we hadn't played alongside in a while.

- What could we have done to make this more enjoyable and fun?
Attempted to have created a more structured fleet/combined arms force, as opposed to the perculiar mismash we faced. Tougher ships work well when they're actually targettable by people with grandma aim like me. When you've got PvP Aces rolling around in snubs with Transport shields and 1000ms guns, us scrubs don't stand much of a chance.

- What day and times would you like to see events on? Would you like them on the same time and day each time we do one?
Fridays/Saturdays - Doing a census on timezones might give an idea on suitable times to host the events.

- Do you have any ideas for future events?
A common foe that is more clearly identified via IFF. If future events like this are to become common, I would recommend seeing whether or not an Event-Player IFF could be created, solefly for this purpose.

- Any general feedback?
I would recommend announcing whether or not an event is considered canon or is intended to be RP'd around by player factions and outline objectives for involved parties more clearly. I were informed in a voice chat after the event that we shouldn't start making diplo-comms as a result of what happened. I mean, that made sense to me, however not everyone has been informed or would think as such without being informed.

All in all, I feel it were a pretty decent first attempt and I sincerely look fowards to improvements in the future.
