As always, I missed space so came to take a look xD
I received this error once I tried to open the discovery launcher
Any idea how can I fix this error, please?

I do not know. While we wait for smarter heads to arrive, have you tried removing all files and reinstalling?
Have you tried to add Disco client to antivirus exceptions?

try running it as administrator, thats what worked for me.
I tried the suggestions mentioned and it still show the same error
Something related to reading the patchlist data
I will try re-installing a copy above the current one, hopefully won't loose my preferences

Re-installing the discovery mod didn't fix it
It seems there is a problem with the launcher that caused a problem with the game files
I am re-installing freelancer then the mod now to check

Same result after a complete reinstall of the game and the mod.
add to that, I lost my account because I forgot to make backup to the accounts lol
