For some reason, my Discord updated itself as it periodically does yesterday morning and hasn't worked since. Re-load it maybe or will that kill all of my conversations and groups?
You can always try completely uninstalling it and reinstalling it. As far as I am aware it should only 'kill' the GIFs you have saved on favorites. I had to do the same thing about three months ago after discord got really buggy with me one day and started popping up random error codes on random times.
Conversations and groups are all stored server-side and should be right where you left them after a reinstall.
