With the active stage of the so-called Orange Hammer coming over, the system of Tau-44 remains under the Outcast blockade. The Colonial forces, even supported by the Guild, barely holding the line. They are almost defeated and ready to retreat while IMG keeps running to hide in the Sumatra cloud and reach Jakarta. It is closing to become an absolute defeat, and the only thing we can hope for is Outcasts won't apply scorched earth tactics to the planet Borneo as Gauls did to Leeds. After all, there is no much on the surface, so perhaps they'll limit themselves for rapid orbital bombardment. Anyway, the future will show.

Nevertheless, the Syndicate forces keep gathering on Jakarta, where we deployed our temporal headquarters. As a pleasant surprise: one damaged Deimos dreadnought with the almost minimal crew has sworn their allegiance to us after the Colonial command decided to withdraw their forces. It's a good start for gaining members, but not going to be beneficial for our business until Outcasts not pushed out. Therefore, we need to start restoring our control over the system, and the first step is restoring supply lines.

We are too weak for a confrontation right now, and the Sumatra gives us the cover we need so badly. Also, it covers the way for re-routing our supply lines, at least on a temporal basis. The old wormhole to Roussillon appears still exist and should be stable enough. As some of the older reports tell, the Gallic royalists used the Roussillon - Provence pathway before. Scouts reporting it's stable enough and according to their recon should lead to the system of Provence. So, we have two options: Roussillon and then to Bretonia, or straight to Gallia. We know that our chances for striking a good deal with the Gauls are higher than with Brets, but they remain low. Perhaps, sending an ambassador prior to this can give us better chances for success, as Gauls don't seem to be the most hospitable nation.

I sure don't like big governments sticking noses into my business. Don't trust them, never have, and I especially don't like when they spy on me and just watch as the vile Outcasts go after us. What is he doing in Tau-23? Are they after our Ore? Take over our freedom? Something doesn't smell right.

Speaking of bad smells...The Outcasts, who took so much from me...Hand in hand with the GC- bunch that fight with no honour. I was outnumbered, assumed to be swarmed like usual by them, when someone...new...came. Someone I haven't seen before. Now I don't like strangers in general. They bear the insignia of |T|, whatever that damn means, and they seem to go after the outcasts with almost the same vigour as I am.

We stood with them against The Enemy, who had more and more ships pouring in, and my ship's hull integrity didn't last long enough to thank them for at least trying.

These strangers, all things considered, actually seem all-right. Maybe one day I will actually get a chance to talk to them, without being in a heavy firefight.

The Outcast forces have left the Tau-44 after the joint Guild and Republic fleet was defeated near Borneo. Minato and Sulawesi suffered damage but nothing that could not be repaired. The Colonial forces were limited to several local garrisons with no heavy support. Meanwhile, our secondary supply routes managed to partially replace the primary Tau-23 flow: we are making supplies from Gallia through Provence, since their visa mode is withdrawn.

Sulawesi Citadel. Damage status: Medium

On a side note: Gateway, despite shown disrespect toward us, agreed to sell us one of their armoured liners. We shall find a good use for it, especially if their BMM attempt to enter our Taus and perform 'illegal' mining operations within our space. As well, great news: seems like the primary branch of the Guild managed to convince the Gauls to help them in restoring control over Dounby: the station is ours once again. We would deploy our branch to this station.

The Sycorax had just come to docks at Java Station last night when Syndicate comms alert made us aware of a vile threat. Guild mining vessels had spotted Nomad capital vessels lurking in the asteroid fields near Planet Egilsay in Orkeny. Minutes later, the heavy Sagarmatha-class battlecruiser made wake for the jump anomaly to deal with the enemy. Enroute, we received comms from a Zoner dreadnought identifying as the Flash Magnus who was already heading in to crush the enemy. The Zoners were accompanied by a Maltese Storta-class cruiser El Cid of the Hyperspace Starfleet, who although a warship of the enemy, stood with us to deal with the enemy of Mankind.

Sycorax arrived last and quickly primed all batteries to lay into the alien vessels. Flash Magnus opened a barrage of laser fire upon the first unknown, tearing through her shields in seconds, One of the enemies broke to try and split our ranks and was pursued by the Zoners while El Cid and our ship ran down the other and continued to rake her with our guns. Our Zoner friend rejoined us and our combined weaponry downed our prey in a spectacular display or expanding gas and debris. The second unkown vessel immediately engaged her cruise engines before we could come about and disrupt her engines and although all three of us followed, the unknown warship was headed for systems edge and would not be caught.

Turning our bow towards home, we gave a warning to the Outcast warship but let them off. Those men and women aboard the El Cid, though our enemies, aided us against the greatest foe of all.

Today was a profitable one for the Syndicate. Our new friends within Gallia are proving most helpful. Unione Corse l'Ane transports met our mining team afield in Tau 23 and tens of thousands of tons of Niobium ore were brought aboard Makassar Station for distribution.

With this early work done, we had time to arrange an impromptu Convoy down to a contact we have aboard Pueblo Station, Colorado. After refuelling and chatting with the locals we found out that Planet Manhattan grape growers are in dire need of getting their product offworld to wine makers and my Gallic friends were able to find us a buyer over comms on New Paris so off we went again, this time taking the Zurich corridor back to Gallia.

Our littel arrangement is certainly showing its profitability and I look forward to further work with teh Corsicans.

Busy day indeed today. It started facing a challenge that was way above my head - The Outcast presence in Tau-37 is indeed unsurmountable. All I could do is observe MNS-Allesandria and her partner dreadnought. Not much my Lhotse could do there.

Then I have seen the Carrier Hades The sniffers parade like a trophy in T-37. Dusgusting. How can The Crayterians sit idly by as their main pride is displayed like this?

Then finally I have discovered a tough but challengeable target. The Heavily armored Sorairo Chrysanthemum Aspis.

What was she hauling?

Only thanks to The Corsican that arrived later we took her down. Needless to say, I am very proud of myself!

And I could finally rest for the day happy - back to Niobium Hauling it was.

Our engineers have been busy! Seems like my Warhammer got some signifficant upgrades on Jakarta! They call it Claymore now!

We immediately tested it against some sniffers called the 101st I have no idea who they are, but they seemed to like something calles Ishmael.

It was a strange battle, we almost disabled their Dreadnought, but it wasn't enough. I blame myself really - Jakarta's efforts are excellent and should be commended - but I had no practice on the vessel, and if I did just alittle bit better, we'd send the dreadnought back to well...Ishmael.

Today I was despatched from Jakarta for a Niobium run. I felt some strange tingling in my bones today, so I have used the agile Nanga Parbat transport.
Lucky I did that - it seems that Tau-23 is becoming a hotbed of criminal activity. Not just the Outcasts - it seems also some independent pirate swarms are threatening our operation - I found my ship under fire shortly after entering Tau-23!

Just when all seemed lost the freelancer Abyssal arrived to save the day in his gunboat - talk about a lucky break!

I managed to score some valuable loot from The Pirate ships, and decided to head back for repairs. Upon entering Tau-44 I thought I will get a second heart attack - out of the blue a Maquis battlecruiser came speeding past my humble trade ship. I have never met one of these people - I do hear rumors from Gallia that they are vile misguided terrorists that should be avoided at all costs. I was ready to start saying my goodbyes when the massive ship appeared to my starboard bow.

Alas, this man either isn't what I've heard, or he was off to commit some vile crimes elsewhere if The Gauls are to be believed. Kinda think of it - I can't remember the last time I heard of some random terrorists having military structures with Executive Officers and everything - I was both confused and relieved to say the least.

[] MVG-Pasquale.Paoli: XO: We are not after you.
[] MVG-Pasquale.Paoli: ?: Civilians from all nations are nothing but civilians, they should not be dragged into conflict!

After all this I finally made it back to Jakarta to drop off the loot I captured from The Pirates, and will request the rest of the afternoon off.

After what I have been through today, I believe I deserve it.

Today the Sycorax and Borneo were executing training exercises not far from Jakarta when we happened upon a pilot of the Royalist forces known as the La Maréchaussée de Gaule MdG/- and attempted to make an amicable exchange of greetings and information. Scouts and commercial teams have informed us that their presence has grown considerably in the neighboring Tau 115 system and it was time we made acquaintance. Within a few minutes several more pilots joined the lone flyer and the conversation got- excited for sure.

These guys seemed really paranoid and guarded when we explained our interests were solely focused on keeping the Taus free of Maltese shits and Bretonian corporate exploitationists. They reaaallly didn't like seeing Crayterian tech for some reason heh, though they have no clue that we are quite wary of the Coronado government and really only trust those Colonials that live out here on the edge. Alas, what can we do?

The Royalists reserved stating anything that would reveal their stance towards us but kept reminding us of their prior conquests and former military might in the area, a long dead fact that has nothing to do with us. They provided as much help during the Maltese Orange Hammer invasion as the other supposed "great powers" and one of their pilots even asked what Orange Hammer was???

We'll see how they treat our commercial vessels but will dispatch additional escorts and security in the meantime to guarantee safety is priority. I'm putting additional patrols around Jakarta for the time being.
