Modifying pretty much anything having to do with the display or UI of Freelancer will not be picked up by the anti-cheat software so feel free to play away. Otherwise I can help ya, so good luck.

Eh ? How do you do that , I can't see it in my options.
Negative ladies and gentlemen, i DID get it to 1920x1080. And it works well only the menus are big so i will have to play with those. Here check this out. Posting full size pic just "fo sho"
Click the link to download. I dont want to upload it to photobucket since it will shrink it which is the opposite of what i want to show.
Left is 1024x768 right is 1920x1080.
Look at the size of the pixels. The left image is resized to fit the benchmark scale.

Once i get it to work i will post instructions on the how to assuming it will not ban us.
Yes it can be scaled up to 1920x1200 though it doesn't show this on the options page.
You've to modify the config file directly. I'm also at 1920x1200
Though the problem with playing at such a reso is that the targetting box and the weapons box comes slightly inwards, as such it does obstruct your view. If there are 4-5 contacts your target list, then the fonts are not a perfect fit - they sometimes overlap.
All other boxes - such as the servers list, etc on other screens in the game are also skewed a bit.
Yes sir, i saw that. This is what i'm trying to fix. I'm trying to fix and scale the rest of the stuff
Edit:
From the looks of it, I gotta say thumbs up.

Good Luck to ya mate...
I did try a few things myself and got to change the fonts, but didn't have enough time to investigate further...
Hope you are successful - Let us know if you reach there.
Gaming in Full HD:)
Here is what working for me.
Now, go to:
My Documents\My Games\Freelancer\
and edit PerfOptions.ini.
Look for these lines:
[Display]
size= xxxx, xxx
color_bpp= 32
depth_bpp= 24
Change the numbers after "size" to set your resolution. (1920, 1080) <- be aware of the space before 1080
Next, go to gameDir/DATA and edit cameras.ini
You'll want to change the first FOVX value, or the game won't be playable. I recommend 63.36 for 16:10 resolutions and 68.88 for 16:9 resolutions. 1920x1080 is 16:9.
EDIT: you HAVE to start a new game after you edit theese. or else it looks like the .ini's are beeing overwritten.
i tried 69 for fovx cam which seems to work perfectly
Let see what the admins say and i will be glad to post my files online.
