Hi to all,
I'm a returning player that will, for once, not reactivate the old accounts.
This is come back number 4 for me. I don't even remember the year of first login here in discovery, 2005 I think. First play was before 2001 on LAN servers we used to run. I learn from past experiences : my golden time on freelancer was actually near the beginning, where cash was low thus the will was high to make some. Overabundance is a incentive killer I think. So no more dreadnought, CS fleet, codenames, official factions and all. Bye bye billions over billions.
I made my way back in Sirius last couple of days with a generic restart, no Nav map, no item prices, and 50K. And man that was the best : the struggle. I have to fly the few routes I remember, nearly by eyesight as i can plan routes because the navmap is empty. By the way, who knew Sake was not appreciated in Bretonia? Well, I do now.
Now I manage to buy the armored transport, and I feels big and powerful. Yeah it does. Imagine that : bored with a dread, all smiling and not counting hours now at the bottom with my AT.
All can be Roleplayed, and that is my motto. How to expect a new character to be born in Sirius and start all loaded up with best ship best guns and money to spare ? That can't be. Right now I ll have one ship and one char only, Pacificator MK.II (back story to be written). But this pilot is just freshman with the history in the front of him, free of the politics of old.
I would have a few questions tho : I used the FLCompanion before. Yesterday I installed it again, updated the prices but it seems totally off. Nothing is matching and the FLC does not seems to sync properly with the dynamic economy of the game. Any help there, is there a tuto I should read again for proper use of FLC ? For the moment that be all, this would allow me to raise a bit my profit per run, in a normal way.
