The room is divided into two, both sides seated to face the same direction. On one side of the room, many officers adorned in Gallia’s uniforms sit staunchly in their chairs, some engaging in conversation with one another. The side present a mix of Gallia’s Navy and Police forces. Those sitting in the front are divided from the crowd as they collect a series of data pads spread across the table before them. On the other side of the room sit some of Gallia’s civilians who shuffle around finding places to sit. At their table sit members of the Corsican families, confidently sitting without showing discomfort or any sign of worry. Everyone has been collected here over the increased hostilities within Royale space.

A man walks into the front of the room and everyone rises to their feet. The judge, adorned in his court appointed clothing makes his way to his chair climbing a few steps and takes his place above the crowd by his chair. Looking out at the crowd, the judge proclaims “Pour le Roy et pour la Gallia!” The crowd joins in, although a clear distinction of support can be heard from the two sides of the court room. He takes he seat and motions everyone to do the same. “This court in now in session to discuss the recent activities inside l’espace royale.”

A man of the Royal Navy takes his stance. Not as adorned in medals as the other Navy officers he clears his throat and begins-
“Salut, I am Jean Thibault, an officer in the Gallic Royale Navy. Recent activities in Burgundy have shown an increase in hostilities for officers and military personelle royal to the king. A recent bounty, placed by Krixx has resulted in rising hostilities between the two groups. A recent excursion between a group of Corsicans, and Krixx involved the intervention of Royal Military forces. While no involved in the beginning were immediately destroyed, ships involved did sustain damage. The reason for the recent attacks pertains to a bounty issued by Krixx, involving the extermination of Corsican vessels. Although some Corsicans have been involved in questionable activity, those that have been caught, and tried have been convicted and now have outstanding criminal records. This however does not tarnish the reputation of the entire family. Rising conflicts have gotten out of hand, and become hostile in nature. Public attacks and murders have been occurring within gallian space. The bounty in question can be seen here.

This bounty as we see it is a blatant attack on civilians under the king. While some members of the Corse engage in fraudulent acts, evidence submitted to the proper authorities will be acted upon. We are at a time of war with the council, and these open gang conflicts will be dealt with in full authority.

Not only has this bounty given rise to gang related violence, but it has also attracted many of the Sirius scum into Royale space. Many of these bloodthirsty vermin have completely neglected the authority of the crown, and have even openly attacked Royal forces. As negotiated in the heat of the moment, the bounty has been closed to those within Gallia, and Junkers. However, any bloodshed within the citizens of the crown brings un-needed turmoil in this time of conflict. I would like to motion forward the idea of closing the bounty all together. Already, a pilot of Sirius has destroyed a Gallic Royal Navy vessel because of this bounty.”

Jean Thibault picks up a data pad and scrolls though some of the information-

“Although a fine has been payed by Krixx at the time, of ten million gallian credits, in reperation for the destroyed Navy vessel the gravity of the conflict is all too clear. These hostilities between citizens under Gallia, and Officers of the crown needs to end immediately. I have reports here from two days ago, showing Gallia Royal Forces escorting a trader out of Gallian space, when they were attacked by two ships identified under the [UC] tag. Even after telling the ships to stand down, open conflict still occurred. Another navy ship was destroyed, and two civilian vessels were destroyed.

The most horrifying report occurred today. After the navy attempted to diffuse the situation in Burgundy today we escorted the Junker out of secure royal space. However, we received reports of [UC] vessels attacking the vessel owned by Krixx near the borders of council controlled space. Standing out of safe distance of the weapon platforms, the vessel was destroyed in-front of our very eyes, even after giving order for civilians to stand down. These repeated hostilities from the [UC] cannot be tolerated. Pilots involved in hostile attacks will be tried in court and sentenced under Gallia laws.”

Jean wipes the sweat from his brows as he presses on the data-pad bringing up more information.

“I would like to open the court on the discussion of this bounty, the hostilities in Royale space by Gallia civilians and the recent attacks on the Gallic navy by [UC] personelle.”

With that, Jean sits in his chair happy to no longer be the center of attention in the court. The Judge nods at the Royal Navy Officer and turns to the crowd. “The court will now discuss these matters, in a civil manner. Those I find in contempt in my court will be escorted out. If you wish to speak, please rise.”
at the right side of the sits the L`Dubois family with a large gap on both sides, seems that many are scared to get to close.
the respectable judge looks over and asks for their representative to stand up and talk.
Franck being the family consultant whispers to Phillipe's ear. he listens and nods.
Phillipe lights a hand rolled cigar from a fine brand of burgundy's tobacco, A police officer jump from his chair and looks at him thinking if he should say anything about the "no Smoking" policy in the court, but quickly remembers that he is a family man and quickly sits back to his seat.

Jacques the Brother second man stands up and says:
" Bonjour, i will speak ...."
before he can finish the sentence he gets puled back by Juan Pierre the brother of Phillipe.

There is silence in the court room while everyone staring at the L`DUbois.

Finally Phillipe rises slowly from his lather chair and clears his throughout
"ahhmm i will speak on behalf of our family."

not even a sound of one breath, nothing.. Pure silence in the court room.

" A wise man once said, Do not put in your mouth more than you can chew, i believe that this is what Monsiuer Krixx done.
We are a very respectable family and all our business are legit. we have much invested in the economy of Galia and just looking for more ways to make this as productive as possible.

You accuse us of being criminals yet you are the one who sends sirians murderess from who knows where to come to our beloved home and hunt us like animals.
We understand that you have been hurt yet you have no clue by who and for what reason.
The only thing you seem to be sure of Monsuier Krixx is that my family offered you countless times protection, Protection that seems very needed to you these days.

We do not like to talk of the other Corsican families but the [UC] one have lost all bits of respect in our eyes after receiving this transmission:

This is Don Bourbon commenting on your bounty,

Let me please clarify few things, we the [UC] family's have no connection to the L`Dubois.
They are part of Corse nation, but they work difrently then [UC] and their ways are to be judged only for them.
As I understood, you had some issues only with L`Dubois, yet you decided to dissrespect whole Corse nation by this poor bounty....
You should be more specific on your bounty, and provide clear targets. Making whole Corse nation is not smart thing to do...
As for your action, [UC] will hold you personaly responssible for any casualty's that may inflict on the [UC] members.
But I say, let any Bounty hunter's come to Galia, we will show them the [UC] welcome...

disgrace , Pointing a finger at another family... crawling and begging to reconciled putting your name in execution list.
Krixx is the contractor but you blamed us for actions that you have no proof of us taking part in.
You show fear like a little child that just lost his mother.
The so called "Godfather" of yours afraid even to call himself by his name and accuses us of more crime and "barbaric" ways of the L`Dubois

We are a shamed to even call you Corsican, i am not even sure if that is your true origin."

He sighs and sits back to listen to the silence of the room.
With Phillipe's last comment, a few men from the crowd stand up and begin yelling. The judge slams his gavel on the table, with each loud clang yelling "Order, order order!" It isn't long before the court police grab the disorderly men and drag them out of the hearing. As the police drag them out, the door opens.

Quote:Seraphin enters the courtroom late as usual, and watches the men being dragged out of the courtroom door... He holds the door open for them giving a disheartening smile, before walking down the lane gap. He sits just behind his family members, and brings out a bottle of water from his pockets. He drinks it whilst people watch the new events in utter silence. He then lights a cigar, smirks at the confused looks on peoples faces and approaches the cheffs crimes... philippe and jean pierre, he whispers in their ears laughs and sits once again to his place slightly seperated from the rest. Gives a threatening yet humorous gesture at the Bourbon and Montelimar 'Dons' and commences smoking his cigar. He gives a hand signal ordering the court to commence when he is ordered by signal/gesture to keep quiet and stop by his Bosses.
(//on behalf of Crysis who wanted to post, but had to go before he was able to)

The judge, perplexed by these new events puts his hands on his forehead, letting out one sigh. He lowers his hand before gazing back at the crowd.

"Now.. If we can refrain from further interruptions, may we proceed with the hearing?"

Guest

Krixx then gets up. He wears his old Iles-De-France shipping uniform, proudly showing the Fleur-De-Lys on it, symbol of the Royalists of Gallia. He wish he would have other clothes than these, but they were his neatest closes. He drinks a cup of water, before clearing his throat and gives a suspicious look to the Montelimar's Don.

''Now, first of all, this bounty was instored after my ship (and its shipment) was destroyed several times for uncalled reasons by the Unione Corse. The first time was by Alesia station, where an L'Dubois gunboat, Mafieux Foyer, had destroyed my cargo after I refused to pay for their so called ''protection''. Now, I didn't care too much about this, thinking it was an isolated incident.

The day after, I was merely having a chat with two GRP officers, when a Unione Corse pilot, named Jacques Delpois (I am sorry if I get the name wrong) claimed that I was on the Mafia hitlist. Pressed by the situation, I had no time to record his sayings, and once again, my ship was destroying by him, and another familiy member of the L'Dubois, namely Gilbert.

Today, the Montelimar and Bouron family clearly threatened me, right in front of three GRN officers and one GRP officer, even threatening them as well. I will quote Antoine-Marc: ''If you call me civilian one more time, I will shove your head on Planet Beaume.''

Now, when I paid the fine, I was escorted out of Gallic Royalist territory, but as soon as I reached Council territory, I was ambushed by the Montelimar, as the L'Dubois stated earlier. My crew managed to survive, and myself as well.

The reasons why I put this bounty was because their act in the shadows, not letting the GRn know what their actions are. The bounty was getting them unnerved, made them more careless, and forced them to show their activities to the public.

Messieurs le Juge, I also believe the Corsicans keep a hitlist; those who doesn't pay for their protection, will later get killed by one of their trained hitmen. I may be wrong as well, but it is also another reason of why I put a bounty on their heads.

Lastly, I am sorry if I attracted Outsiders within Gallia; I repaid every side's ship values and equipment, and restricted the bounty to Gallic citizens and Junkers only; also, please take note that I am the only individual concerned in the Bounty, none of my Junker friends are involved.

We all suffered from this, me included, Monsieur le Juge. But someone needed to act, to show who truly are the Corsicans. It is all I have to say for now.''

Krixx, exhausted and stressed, sits back down, and looks at his lawyer. His lawyer noded, not too sure of how his speech would affect the judge. Krixx give a last glance to the corsicans, and then smirks.
Royal Naval pilot Yvan Jayne rolls his eyes as he listens to both the Phillipe and Krixx. He brushes some lint off of his nearly perfectly clean and pressed uniform and rises from his seat next to Jean Thibault.

"Your honor, members of the court." He bows politely to the Judge. "For those of you who do not know me, I am Yvan Pierre Jayne of His Majesties Royal Navy. A humble servant of God and the King." Yvan takes a breath and straightens his uniform. "All of us here have heard of the criminal actions of the Union Corse."

A Gallian Royal Police officer rises and begins to yell in protest and Yvan turns to face him glaring.

"Sit down and await your turn Officer!"

With a glare from the judge and every Naval pilot in the room, the Officer nervously looks around and takes his seat.

"While not all of us will acknowledge their often offensive nature," he again glares at the Officer, "there is as always an enormous lack of evidence to their crimes. Both Thibault and I were witness to their blatant attack upon the Junker Krixx's vessel on the border of Royal space and are willing to testify to that end. However this does not excuse the Junker's posting of an open bounty in Sirian space. Several Royal Navy pilots on patrol today, including myself and Thibault, fought against multiple Sirian invaders. ALL of which admitted to being enticed into Royal space by the bounty that FOOL," he points at Krixx "posted on Gallian civilians."

He takes a breath and continues, "Whether or not the bounty was justified is evident by the attack we witnessed against his vessel. The issue at hand is how Krixx effectively invited Sirian filth into sacred Royal space! Granted he was fined and agreed to remove the bounty from being open to anyone outside of Gallia, but this sort of thing can NOT be allowed."

"That said, I would also like to discuss what will be done about the Corse ships involved in the unprovoked attack on Krixx's vessel after he was escorted out of Royal space. This is nothing short of piracy and murder!"

The room fills with murmurs and yelling as he makes the his claim against the Union Corse and the Judge once again slams his gavel down and calls for order. At the call for order, Yvan straightens his uniform and takes a seat, ignoring the glares from the Corsicans sitting across from him.
Once Monsieur Krixx takes his seat as a constant noise of whispers was heard all over the room.
"Was he smiling at us?"
Looking at the L`Dubois table you could see couple of bottles of wine half empty, ashtrays and plates with fine luxurious food.
Phillipe snaps his fingers while still chewing his meal.
Matthieu Marais the L`Dubois personal lawyer stands up dressed in a fine suit. He is one of the best in Galia.

"I would like to refer couple of questions regarding the accusations monsieur Krixx has made here.
The Mafieux Foyer is my clients personal property, the L`Dubois use this vessel for family trips and in rare cases business meetings.
My question to you is: You have no evidence or any eye witness to that event? You claim you are unsure of the name, and the records show that a Jacques Delpois does not exist in our organization. In addition you claim that a Gilbert L`Dubois was aiding that alleged attack, my client list of the L`Dubois show no record of such a man. What are you sure off, Monsieur Krixx. Your allegations do not match our records, and your allegations hold no concrete facts.

As for Antoine-Marc's temper, it is understandable that while being hunted by the people you sent with no justified reason, his response to your presence would be a bit hostile. No hostile actions were taken and no charges have been placed against him and he is not the one on trial, so I would ask you not to try looking for an easy way out.

To comment now the attack made by the The [UC] family, I would advise them to hire a great lawyer like myself. The L`Dubois does not condone such actions and the [UC] do not represent our family. *Whispers to himself: How incompetent one must be to attack in scanner range of the Royal Navy itself.*

Quote:Lastly, I am sorry if I attracted Outsiders within Gallia; I repaid every side's ship values and equipment, and restricted the bounty to Gallic citizens and Junkers only; also, please take note that I am the only individual concerned in the Bounty, none of my Junker friends are involved.
Let me understand Monsieur, You "Repaid" the ships? So I would assume that by that anyone who does a crime and have the credits will get away with it with no punishment. My client Phillipe and his large family are a rich organization. Are you suggesting that they can commit crime and get away with it? Or is it that you believe that anyone with capital in his bank account is corrupt?

Quote:We all suffered from this, me included, Monsieur le Juge. But someone needed to act, to show who truly are the Corsicans. It is all I have to say for now.''

So you admit here you took the law into your own hands.

Quote:The reasons why I put this bounty was because their act in the shadows, not letting the GRn know what their actions are. The bounty was getting them unnerved, made them more careless, and forced them to show their activities to the public.

You again and again have no proof of anything regarding the L`Dubois family, nothing but a self righteous dishonored man that will do anything for coin. All L`Dubois activities are public and for all to see. The Gallia authorities have asked for submission of evidence. We do not hide in a shadow. Are you sure you are not confusing our family with other members of the Unione Corse?

Quote:Messieurs le Juge, I also believe the Corsicans keep a hitlist; those who doesn't pay for their protection, will later get killed by one of their trained hitmen. I may be wrong as well, but it is also another reason of why I put a bounty on their heads.
This is sounding like paranoia, The L`Dubois and a hit list its just ridiculous.
"You may be wrong"? Throwing accusations with no proof is unacceptable. You were not sure of anything about the perfectly innocent Family which I represent. No monsieur, it is you who publicly contracted hitmen against our family for actions we did not commit."

Matthieu Marais looks at Monsieur Krixx and says "What are you smiling about?"

"I would like to add one last thing" says Matthieu Marais "If there is no evidence or proof of any misconduct of the Innocent and abused L`Dubois Family I would like to suggest the highest punishment of exile from Galia.

I have no farther questions to Monsieur Krixx."

Matthieu Marais Turns around and looks at Phillipe for any sign. Phillipe nods and Matthieu Marais takes his place back at the table.
Joel stands up,lits up a cigar and starts slowly to speak.
"First of all,yes Storm did attacked Krixx, and he had a serious reason to do it.
Oh and you must be wrong,Storm did not engaged the crown's forces,he retreated after Krixx's disaster.
All he wanted was to revenge that Junker for hiring those hunters,he nearly lost his wife, you know.
We nearly lost one of our best pilots, because of the bounty hunters he hired.
And about your,eh,speech Phillipe...how to say this...
Aye,talking behind my back again eh?If you have something to tell me,you are welcome to the bar.And you better stop throwing lies about us.Don't make me start talking,just...don't.
Our jobs are absolutly legal, most of us are not even rich as you are..."

Joel looks at the Luxury food and wine.

"And,as a mather of fact, from now on,the [UC] will act as the L`Dubois don't exists.
We have our ways, they have their ways.
But atleast,we still have our pride, and we don't backstab our friends.
Too bad Storm's going to prison now..."
After long houres of sitting and listening to the arguments and trial itself, Don Bourbon stands up and walk towards the exit.
On his way out sudden silence striked the room.... It was clear Leonard was not happy about L'Dubois comments.
The look he forwarded to Phillipe could be described only as look of disappointment while he shacked his head...

While he was escorted by two middle age scary man, he was seen wispering something to one of them while pointing at the table of L'Dubois young man's.

------------------------------------------------------------------
Constant provocation of L'Dubois members toward [UC] continues.
While I'm still trying to understand what is the point of this, I come to think only of one reason for all this qutes of our conversation's and that is jelosy !
I dont understand why is there need for that....
You all seem to constantly dissrespect and provokate us without any good reason.
It seems to me that you dont understand that we DO belong to same nation, and we have our own way of conducting bussines !

I was personaly witness of Antonie (l'dubios) intentionaly ramming me and flaming on chat about me spending the whole dayin front of Bourbon base.
After 3 times I was rammed away from the base I spamed one mine while being pushed away. Antony shoot and destroyed my ship....

I see that as all un-neccesery action you are taking against UC.
You can like it or not, but [UC] IS larger family then L'Dubois , and [UC] will remain and go larger whether you like it or not.

Your only choice is to accept the facts as they are, and enjoy the life !
Leonard.Bourbon turns around and starts walking towards the exit doors...
meanwhile Antoine-Marc picks a bone off his plate and throws it, hitting the back of Leonard's head.
Phillipe points his finger at Antoine and shows him the chair, Antoine immediately takes his seat.
there is a lot of background noise in the court room and it seems out of order.

The Judge slams the gavel couple more times to calm the crowd down.

Phillipe raises from his seat and looks at Joel
"How dare you even speak? you are a little treasonous rat that would eat his brother to save its useless and pointless life."
He turns around and looks at his boys twisting the family seal on his finger. Phillipe turns back and says.
"Not only you are dazed an nonsensical little being you are stone deaf,What i had to say I said it straight to your disfigured face. You and your small road show band have mentioned our name in public, Something that no respectable family should ever do. If your memory fails your ancient senile head that looks like a wrinkled Shar-pei, i will upload it to your data pad."

Phillipe Takes a deep breath and sits down, and orders the lawyer to stand up.

Matthieu Marais jump up from his chair and rushes to the stand.

" I would like once more to remind that this is a Hearing regarding the Krixx Case, If you like to charge The [UC] for the attempt of assassination on the life of Krixx, as they openly stated already the verdict of their own family"
Quote:"First of all,yes Storm did attacked Krixx
Quote:Too bad Storm's going to prison now

"Thank you your honor"
Matthieu Marais returns to the L`Dubois table and takes his seat.
Joel smiled and looked at Phillipe
"Phillipe,I'm telling you this for first and last time:
Watch you cursed mouth, you immature wannabe "gankster"
You are nothing, you can't even drink a bottle of wine without falling on the ground."
Joel looked at the Judge:"Your honour, please excuse my bad tongue."
Mr.Montelimar continued to look at Phillipe,he was still smiling.
