I'm flying a Falchion with a Heavy CM installed, and it just won't fire. Pressing the [C] key, the weapon number, setting it as the only activated weapon and pressing fire, nothing works. Also, even when I have ~25 free units of cargo space, I can't unmount it, since it's still insufficient... is it supposed to be like that?

Heavy CMs are now designed for capital ships and transports, so they use a lot of energy.

Switch to an Enhanced CM Dropper, the ammo is cheaper and you'll be able to use it properly on fighters.

on bombers they take about 1/8 - 1/6 of your power.

They are now a capship only item, use other CMs on fighters and bombers.
