*A medium sized man dressed in an expensive black suit with a tie, and medium length laid back hair appears on the viewscreen*

Good day to you. This is William Giles, the director of Integral Systems Engineering, of the Colonial Republic.
It has come to my attention in one of my transport captains' reports, that you are responsible for the deaths of members of our nation, and more importantly, my corporation, as well as impeding on the completion of a very important contract which just cost us millions of credits, as shown here:

Quote:This is Captain Narender Coulibali of the Colonial Remnant Trader Tuareg.

Today, at approximately 3:15 am, the Tuareg was destroyed by a pirate attack in the New York System, only 10 K away from planet Manhattan. I have the sad duty to report the death of two of its crew members, specialist Vera Cottensock, and Chief Orenthal Jeremy Sampson.
The infamous Lane Hacker thug Phate, accompanied by an individual whose name began with Saronson and another large transport ship, disrupted the last trade lane leading from Colorado gate to Manhattan.
The pirates demanded I drop the entire load of niobium I was carrying, and started shooting randomly at the Tuareg.
While I was politely inquiring on their mental state, a lone LPI fighter bravely engaged the 3 pirates. In the ensuing firefight, the Tuareg was completely destroyed.
The cremation ceremony will take place Tuesday, 11 am at the civilian port of Minato Harbor. As a personal request, I would like to add the names of our fallen friends and comrades to the armor plating of the successor ship of the Tuareg, the Tuareg Mark II.

So say we all.

I must inform you, Mr. Phate, that I consider violent action against my transports a very, very serious matter, and there's nothing I hate more than losing profit and precious human life.
I must formally request that you refrain from any kind of hostile action against my transports who are not actively impeding around the vicinity of your bases.

If you do not comply, which would not be the smartest thing to do, I shall be forced to make a formal request to the Colonial military, and I assure you my requests are met with approval, as my corporation funds that same military.
That request will contain a demand for a full fighter and bomber wing from our tactical squadron to have but one goal, the elimination of your ship, assets, and while I mostly try to avoid resorting to violence, the loss of your life.
Make your call, Hacker.

Furthermore, I shall request that the Lane Hackers as a whole state their position towards my corporation clearly.

Perhaps you should revisit your diplomatic status, you incompetent ignorant, or should I say, militaristic warmongering sheep? You got what you were coming for. Attempting to escape with a very juicy Niobium load is not appreciated. The pilot is to blame, he refused to load up our supply transport with the Niobium (for free, of course).

About the collateral damage (alleged deaths): you are all fools not to have installed escape pods on your ship, allying yourself with corrupt LPI flunkies and trying to get away with it. Oh well, you didn't. The pilot and crew should be nominated for a Darwin Award.

Furthermore:

All Liberty bases belong to us, the righteous people of Liberty. The corporate villains, their Police lackeys and Naval flunkies are holding them hostage.

To be blunt: you think you can shoot us all you want, but we should leave you alone? Well, perhaps you live in another universe of yours. Sorry to put you out of your illusion. But coming down our trade lanes, supplying the corporate oppressors of Liberty is not appreciated. End of line.

Those who seek vengeance will only find their own hatred. As those before them and those after them. What has happened had happened before and will happen again and again until you reconsider your attitude towards the Lane Hackers and change your unwisely choosed diplomatic stance to us, of which we have notified you and your members several times before. Did I already call you an ignorant? Oh yes, I did. Guess this is all, then. Perhaps there's one more thing you should be aware of:

Sir, to be completely frank, I could not personally care less about the rights and wrongs in the Libertonian structure, and all the groups that are trying to achieve their ideals there.

All I want are peaceful conditions for my trade ships in the areas under the influence of the Lane Hackers.

I could not care less about supporting the Liberty government, as the only reason niobium is shipped there is the funding of my corporation's other endeavors, and the niobium we export is one of our primary "earners".

Warmongering? I think I've made myself very clear when I said that violence would be used as the utter last resort, as I have no personal quarrel with the Lane Hackers or the ideals they represent.

As for the hostile status of the Lane Hackers with the lawful Colonial government, I am not at all responsible for the official position the government has towards the Lane Hackers.

I am sure that, for both our sakes, and both our welfare, we might achieve some sort of agreement of the non-piracy of ISE trade ships in your area.

And as another note, if I recall well, from my younger days, the hostile status between our government and the Lane Hackers is not due to Colonials doing anything against you unprovoked, but just the contrary.
Such acts of piracy from your side have only prompted us, I reckon, to have that kind of position towards you.

I offer a chance to perhaps change that. With an act of good will here and there, we might achieve an agreement of suspension of unprovoked attacks.
We don't touch you, you don't touch us, and it all goes fine.

Now I cannot speak for the government as a whole, but I strongly believe that, if my corporation and yourselves would agree on such a deal, the action of the government would soon follow after some lobbying from my side, or perhaps even immediately.

As the pilot of aforementioned transport, I must argue with you, and say it was their stupidity for not complying with out demands. The fact they were aiming to support the corrupt and appalling industries and company's of Liberty, is reason enough to claim their cargo, or their funds. I, as well as the other Lane Hackers refuse to let these corruptions flourish.

With that said, I take my leave.

Saronsen out.

Frankly, I do not see any corruption in the fact that Liberty imports the niobium mined by the CMI in the Taus.
I understand the desire of the Lane Hackers to stop corruption, but I believe you after all have the interests of the Libertonian people at heart, as you claim.
And if you do, you'd be aware that supplying Liberty with precious materials, niobium being one of them, is vital to Liberty's war effort.
Or would the Lane Hackers prefer to fight against Rheinland oppression when they lose the war after the Lane Hackers'd cut off all foreign trade to Liberty.

William Giles
To Phate:

Since you all are on the topic of corruption in Liberty, and seeing as I am a law enforcer of said System, I would like to see evidence of corruption in our government.

It alarms me to see this kind of slander hurled thoughtlessly against the fine officers of the LPI. We are not corrupt flunkies. We are upstanding officers of a system of laws that you apparently do not believe in. Our moral code is superior to yours however, and despite your efforts to terrorize and destroy both people and property, you will fall to a bad end. Mark my words.

The fact that you use our supposed corruptness as an excuse to extort money and goods from innocent traders, bespeaks to your lack of moral values. I would encourage you to watch yourself very carefully while traveling through Liberty Space. In fact, I would encourage you not to enter Liberty Space at all. Sometimes bad things happen to bad people. This goes for you to, Saronsen.
