So, I used to play Discovery back in the Mid Aughts, and enjoyed it. Fast Forward a decade and change, My kids just got into tabletop gaming and video games, and I remembered this.
Had an idea to run a combination starfinder campaign and Freelancer bit over LAN, so downloaded the Base copy of the game (since I'd lost the disc ages ago) and the Mod pack.
Game and Mod work fine out the gate, but for some reason I can't run the Freelancer server, at least in Windows 10 or 11. The server program flickers up briefly and then dies immediately.
Any Suggestions for fixing it?
Apologies in advance, I'm juuuuuuuust tech literate enough to get myself in way over my head.
Addenda: The Regular Freelancer Server File will load just fine, so no big deal if this works, I can just play the main game. Still, I'd like to use the extra ships and the discovery world.
