Hola fellow zoners.
I guess you aren't happy to hear me since I ordered myself the destruction of 2 of your warships, but you should know both of their commanders didn't made it easy.

First of them was the Spirit.of.Freeport7.
Well this commander was provoked by Tuco.Pacifico, a pirate you consider as renegade. I do agree this pirate is going wrong but I told you we, the corsair nation, we deal with it.
I also received myself a provocation from the commander of the Spirit.of.Freeport7 right next to our base, Cadiz. He even asked himself I order its destruction and launched a mortar on Cadiz just after that.
Once he left to Cambridge system, we would left him to his repairs but he decided to do not cease fire so its destruction was inevitable.

Then during the Bretonian attack, I saw the commander [TAZ]I.K.S. Vor'cha ready to engage our forces. I took it as a backstab and ordered its destruction with no warnings right at the moment. Your warship fall into our focused fire.

I do know there is a problem about some pilots, but I'll ask you to hold fire for now and leave it to the Corsair nation.
Just know this Tuco missed to be killed by my own hand. The fact that you read nothing on your comms doesn't mean I'm inactive on that problem. You don't have access to our private channels and that's how it is supposed to be.
I hope for the zoners that we won't hear again about any support of our enemies or that will be the last time we will talk about the zoners.

For now, from my proposal to the corsair elders, Tuco.Pacifico is a valid target to the zoners within a 15k range of any zoner base and in the complete Omega 49 system. The zoners warship aren't welcome anymore within corsair space in omegas and will be destroyed if they aren't moving away. Any zoner convoys, gunboat escorts and fighter crafts are still welcome assuming they must not show any aggression to the corsairs in any forms.

Hola, Senor Grimly,

The indie Corsair known as Tuco.Pacifica is, in our opinion with plenty of backing evidence, the whole cause to this. He continually violates our laws, fires on Zoner transports, runs his mouth and in this case, suckered everyone into this. He IS a criminal and considering recent events, I would hope you see him as the same.

In the past, our relations have been cordial. I personally have run many a load of food to Crete and provided iridium samples to various Corsair ships of various Corsair factions. While I admit some judgments were made in error, I can certainly understand them.

Both the Spirit of Freeport 7 and the [TAZ]I.K.S. Vor'cha were after one person.....Tuco, who had hidden himself amongst you. Unfortunately in the fray, it all went wrong...very wrong. To understand why the Vor'cha commenced in it's actions, one must understand the commander, Commander Matok. He is a Klingon warrior bound by duty and takes offense to being insulted and dishonored which he was by Tuco.Pacifica. He met his defeat with honor. That may not justify his actions but that's who he is.

Your proposal to the Corsair Council should have some leniency. Why? Keep in mind, we have a base in Omicron Delta that we often send warships to watch over, usually using the Omicron Theta/Gamma Jump hole to Kappa/Gamma jump hole to get to them. The Vor'cha is one of those ships which also makes passes by Freeport 5. Until yesterday, he had never violated Corsair space and as previously mentioned, it was Tuco he was after. I think his defeat and the fact that he will be recovering for some time from his injuries is punishment enough as is the case with the Spirit.

Senor Grimly, I still want to keep our relations cordial. Cooler heads need to prevail. If Tuco.Pacifica wants to hide amongst you, so be it. I'm sure at some point he'll be back somewhere for us to deal with. We need to keep the flow of yes, even our warships, going to and from the bases we have. Please do understand that. It is our only way of monitoring the NFZ's as we work to expand those laws as well.

Most Respectfully,
Dr. John Henry Holliday
[TAZ]Ambassador

Hola, Senor. Since I was one of the pilots involved, I hope you will let me clarify a couple things.
Firstly, I apologize for remaining so close to Cadiz. I now realize that I could have just as easily accomplished my objective from 5k away. That being said, when you fired upon me in an attempt to get me to leave, I considered it a full-scale attack on my vessel. Not having an arguement with OPG, and having the greatest respect for you, senor, for going into a battle you knew you would lose in Okinawa, I fired upon my only available target: Tuco.
Secondly, in the cambridge system. You had stopped your assault for the moment and I was retreating at full speed, however, you were still following me and I was exceedingly nervous, so again I ordered my gunner to open fire, as long as it did not compromise our retreat.
My ship has been mostly repaired at this point, and my crew is expected to make a full recovery. I hope to see your ships in space again, as I occasionally bring mining machinery to Thira colony or travel through Omicron Gamma on my way to Kappa or Delta.
Namaste Corsairs.

Alright, senioritas and seniores.

I discussed a little time with senor Jose El Nino, elder from the OPG. It seems Tuco.Pacifica defended our elder from some zoner attacks.

So to the following :
"He IS a criminal and considering recent events, I would hope you see him as the same." ([TAZ]Doc Holliday)
I will not give my full support for now and at least one elder will not as well.

We should reconsider the recent events before leaving our forces to a possible war that would not be profitable in long term for both parts.
I had no informations about the incident in Omega 49 so I asked a cease fire yesterday. It will stay this way until we have all the details. That's why I'm asking that no warship enter foreign space for now.

I'm also giving you those letters because I was the one who ordered the destruction of your 2 warships, I'm not a diplomatic representative of the Corsair nation. The elders will continue this conversation after me.

For now I have some work to do.

Adios,
Grimly, Scourge's Mate of the OPG

Subject : Tuco.Pacifico

Hola, let me get right to the point. Tuco Pacifico in my eyes is a hero. For he saved my life.

It was all down like this: I was aboard the infamous Green.Hawk, my corsair luxury yacht. With my brother we were drinking some fine imported rum. That was in Omega 3, by the tradelane with a few patrolmen, waiting to welcome any traders to Corsair space. Naturaly some made donations to the Poor pilots fundation, the one we are running. Some however did not and while me and my brother were sitting in the bar, first officer/gunner Gustav was blasting at the filthy rich trader. The ship was destroyed, valuables collected, see we Corsairs take what we want.

Moments later a zoner destroyer jumped out of cruise. He called us mere pirates and engaged us. I tried at length to explain to the man what an outrage he is committing, while my brother scrambled to his battlestation. The battle was fierce. Zoner destroyer showed skill and it's punishing firepower was soon felt through our shields. My brother is no slouch either, so a deadly engagement was soon in place. Now as we were advancing in the rear direction, trying to dodge incoming fire from the war happy zoner, I picked up a friendly signal from Omega 5, it was Tuco. He replied to our reserved calls for help.

Now with Green Hawk dodging incoming fire, gustav shooting back at the flamboyant Zoner and me humbly drinking rum and talking to lovley third mate miss April, Tuco jumped out of cruise. He noticed at once that we were in trouble and like any honorable Corsair he engaged the Zoner who clearly lost his neutrality compas somewhere. Soon the zoner was overpowered, for Tuco's great skill in battle was so unmatched that Gustav's guns finished what Tuco left behind. The crew was returned to the freeport, while captain of the said destroyer did a ceremonial airlock walk.

The crew then had the audacity and issued a report against us, for engaging a zoner ship. That was clearly not the case, for we had to defend ourself against the warship. For I may not be alive today should we not.

I was rather outraged that the destroyers captain showed little zoner courtesy in negotiating with us, to this day I do not know why he was so passionate in killing us, but by god that airlock awlk served him right.

Presently we are fairly enraged by zoner actions, I would like to see the TAZ coming up with a formal appology and offering us resources to repay any damage we have endured from constant hunt from both Zoner and Bounty Hunter ships.

Becouse our couse is joust and we were acting in self defense, we will continue it. You zoners should think about investigating some of your own ranks first, before blaming Corsairs for every mischief that goes about the Freeports.

The TAZ will assume a strictly defensive posture while the OPG "discusses" the case of the renegade Tuco.Pacifico.

Mistakes were made. That does not change the fact that Tuco.Pacifico is guilty of earlier crimes against Zoner shipping, and against TAZ assets in particular, along with the renegade Green.Hawk.

Both pilots will remain Enemas of the TAZ, and will be engaged if found near any Zoner installation by TAZ vessels. We will not seek these vessels, and we will definitely not stoop to their levels of deceit in dragging others into our personal quarrels with these renegades.

It should be plainly obvious that the actions of a few are threatening long-standing agreements and diplomacies between Zoner and Corsair.

We await the deliberations of the Corsair Community.

I am sorry for my action against Spirit.Of.Freeport.7; But the only reason I defended against him was because he tried to destroy my ship! What was I supposed to do?

Quite disheartening news indeed. Up until recently I thought that these Corsairs harassing Zoners where just young, unguided, Corsairs, out to make a name for themselves, but recently I have received reports that include evidence that the Green Hawk, a once noble Corsair has been attacking Zoners, including one report of Elder Carlos Benitez having to come to Theta and order the Green Hawk back to Gamma for attacking Zoner ships at Freeport 9. The evidence of complicity between the OPG, Green Hawk and Tuco are becoming obvious, and that concerns me.

Now to the official stance of The Corsair Brotherhood. While we have had tensions with the Zoners throughout our relations, they are our neighbors, and we respect their rights to defend themselves and their properties from these attacks. The Brotherhood has a long history with the Zoners, and in the past, we have seen the Council of Zoners stand aside so that The Corsair Brotherhood could defend itself from the unwarranted attacks of the quasi Zoner group the AW. In much the same way, we feel the proper stance at this moment is to stand aside and let the Zoners deal with these threats in the way that they deem fit. We will not defend the Green Hawk, nor the Tuco, nor will we come to the aid of the OPG should they be fighting Zoners. This fight is in no uncertain terms, not the concern of The Corsair Brotherhood, and we will not involve ourselves. We hope the Zoners understand our neutrality in this concern, I feel that if anyone can understand this stance, the Zoners should be able to, and we hope the actions of these Corsairs, not under our control or orders, will not adversely effect the relations between the COZ, the TAZ, and The Corsair Brotherhood.

Apparently you haven't been reading the news, amiga. You and your "hero" Tuco.Pacifico were declared hostie to the TAZ some time ago, for past attacks on TAZ assets. There was no "Neutrality compass" to be lost.

Quote:I was rather outraged that the destroyers captain showed little zoner courtesy in negotiating with us, to this day I do not know why he was so passionate in killing us, but by god that airlock awlk served him right.

Now you know, and can no longer claim ignorance about the matter. You have not in the past shown any willingness to "negotiate". Do not expect us to show you any courtesy in that regard, as you have shown us none in the past. If you wish to do so now, we will be glad to hear your apologies.

Quote:Presently we are fairly enraged by zoner actions, I would like to see the TAZ coming up with a formal appology and offering us resources to repay any damage we have endured from constant hunt from both Zoner and Bounty Hunter ships.

Don't hold your breath.

Quote:Becouse our couse is joust and we were acting in self defense, we will continue it. You zoners should think about investigating some of your own ranks first, before blaming Corsairs for every mischief that goes about the Freeports.

We are not "blaming Corsairs", sir, and I believe that any honorable Corsair will see through this little smoke screen. We are pointing the finger of blame, and the declaration of hostility, squarely at you and Tuco Pacifico alone. You sirs, are the ones who have violated this so-called "neutrality" you now wish to hide behind. We have no issue with legitimate Corsairs. We will not hunt you.. we will let the Corsair Nation decide what to do with your pathetic carcasses.

Do not approach any TAZ vessels, thinking that your loose and questionable ties to legitimate Corsairs will save you. Do not antagonize us. If the Corsair Nation acts responsibly in this matter, we will consider taking you off our Enemas list at some point. If they choose to cast you to the Fates as the renegades you are, then it will be up to YOU to offer apologies and reparations, gentlemen, not the TAZ.

Run that through your shrunken little Pineals.

This is Lightwing of the Zoners.

I have heard a lot of complaints about this Green.Hawk and I was ready to believe about half of them. Then I actually met Green.Hawk near Gran Canaria for the first time.

He didn't tax me. He didn't shoot at me. He was very polite and wished me a safe docking. Then, in front of my own eyes, I saw him offer a donation to a poor pilot. And I'm not talking a few credits here. I mean like 1-2 million credit donation offer.

I may be a nobody, but I still have two eyes. And from what I can tell so far, the representatives of the TAZ appear to favor the sword over their pen. And I don't know about the rest of us, but I always assumed we Zoners worked the other way around.

Edit: I agree that sometimes a good spanking is in order to keep hostile pilots disciplined. But these Kill on Sight Acts have been taken by too many Zoners to extreme measures. I myself have seen Zoner folks shoot at pirates in Gran Canaria simply for being there.
