For those of you who use Linux, could you help me with this? I'm using the option to install Ubuntu inside Windows, so that I don't have to backup everything or lose data. I've made two Ubuntu CDs, but when I try to install, I get the same error:

Anyone know how to get past or fix this?
You should open that log file and see what it says the error is. You'll probably find it in the last few lines of the file if there's way too much to go through.
I'm not sure what the log files are saying, so perhaps you could interpret them for me? You can find them here (there are two: I tried installing twice):

This looks a lot like a problem that a lot of people are having with installing 9.04 from a CD. Try choosing "Install ISO from hard drive" and pointing to the image you downloaded/burned as a source.
I bed, oyu have an error on the CD, or during burning, normaly this .exe "virtual" install is fool proove.

But even if you uninstall it later, you will have leftovers from it, until the next real formation of the disk, you wont notice it, if you only use one system, but with bootmanagers, or after a critical crashdown, it reapperas, doing nothing, no harm done, but a bit anoying.

Id suggest, you make a few gigabytes free on your drive, and make a real install there, its mutch more performat, and you can fully wipe it, if you dont like it.
I managed to fix it by using the method someone told me here:

However, now I have another problem concerning my printer (you can read about it in the above link as well).
http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-847030.html shows someone encountering the same issue with a similar model. Maybe you're not being automatically configured for the right print service.
