I need a laptop mouse. I'm getting my new XPS Studio in under 2 weeks *drools* and I need a mouse for it. I want it to be wireless, my laptop has built in Bluetooth, but if there is a USB mouse that works I am fine with that.

I've been looking at the Logitech G7..

I need it for school use.. meaning it needs to be pretty durable, but also for gaming, when I'm at home. Any suggestions?

If it were me going for a new moues (and I had the money) I'd get either:

-Logitech MX Revolution
-Logitech VX Nano
-Logitech G9x
-Microsoft Sidewinder

The VX Nano is more of a laptop mouse though, the others are fairly large:P

The Logictechs are nice mice, but one warning: Certain models the battery goes south and its a pain to get a replacement. The only source is Logictech, and if they are out of them for 3 or 4 months....

I know it's not wireless, but I heartily recommend the Microsoft Sidewinder mouse. It rocks. Comes with individual weights to customize the feel, you can change the DPI covered with a click of the button, and you can set macros on it.

EDIT: At least the model sidewinder I have isn't wireless.
