2) Post badly about my RPing abilities.
3) Act stupid and try to help this character. I'm not going to have him die.

2) People making suggestions to this weird storyline of mine. Don't go over board though. Explain it in one post please.

This is my first log since being promoted to captain, and a very distressing thing has happened to me.
Since I have just recently join the Rheinland Military as a captain with out a vessel, I had to take a civilian transport to New Berlin. Shortly after leaving Alster Shipyard, we were attacked by an attack force from the Unioners. Undoubtedly my last transmission was intercepted and decoded.
I managed to make it out alive, but the transport and most on-board were completely wiped-out. So far, I have been sitting in this escape pod for two hours, and I am almost out of oxygen. But there is some hope, I can see recon ships from the Rheinland Military searching for survivors. Unfortunately, I have drifted much to far to be detected by there sensors. As this may be my last message ever, I have only a few words to say.

I have been unconcious for hours and was recently released from medical on Alster Shipyard. I have been there since last night when they tractored in my escape pod.
The one who found me, Leo he said his name was, gave me an old ship he no longer used. He escorted me to the Hamburg-New Berlin Jump Gate then returned to Alster.

I'm about an hours flight from Planet New Berlin. Just before docking with the Jump Gate I was amushed by a Red Hessian Raiding Party. I doubt that they were specifically after me, as I was near a group of Heavy Transports.
All ships made it through alive, but with large damage. My ship's hull is nearly collapsing and I am venting atmoshpere. But I'll make it to the meeting in one piece. This will be my last message before the meeting in an hour.

This is my third log today, I made it to the meeting alive and was given my first ship, a Rheinland Wrath. I think I'm gonna name it the Reaper. I'm not sure, it gives me the feeling of power, and the only power in space is the power to kill. I think it fits.
In the meeting we discussed a few things about our alliances and stuff, however, I will not say specifics in the case this falls into enemy hands.
I think I made a good impression on my commanding officers. I met the head of the Rheinland Military in person today, onboard her battleship. She's nice, not what I expected at all. The strangest thing about the Rheinland Military is that at the very top is a woman. Most of the military is male. Just something odd that I noticed.
For now, that is all. I may have one more log tonight before I sleep.

Yesterday was the thirty-first of October, at least on Earth it was. That day used to be known as Hallows' Eve or, more commonly, Halloween. People used to dress up in costumes and go ask people for candy. Oh, what did they say....? Ah yes, "trick or treat". This meant the if they weren't given candy, they would attempt to trick the non-giver. I wonder if they still do this on any of the planets... If they do, it would most likely be one of Liberty's.
Today, is what is known as All Saints Day in the Catholic Church of the 20th Century. A tradition where everyone goes to mass, as they call it, and pray to these "saints" asking them to help them become a better person.
Tomorrow, in a lot of Latin American countries from the same time period, is the Day of the Dead, or Dia de los Muertos in Spanish. This is were people go to celebrate the life of one who died. They eat what the deceased liked to eat... No, feasted on it. They would make Sugar Skulls and other symbols of the dead. These would not be scary, more like laughing at death, without being disrespectful to the dead themselves.
Over the past few days, I've done almost nothing. I want to talk to a few of my commanding officers. I wonder where Krist- I mean, Commander Samus is. She.... Intrigues me... I just want to see why she became leader of this entire wing of the Rheinland Armed Forces....I mean... Its not like.......... Never mind...

Today is Dia de los Muertos, the Day of the Dead. At least it would be if we were still on Earth. As I may have said before, Dia de los Muertos is a Latin America holiday.... Its much too long to explain now... Maybe next year...
It is also All Souls day in the Catholic religion. This is were people honor someone who died. Personally, I'd rather people throw a party in my honor then a memorial. But, I'm not dead yet. I don't know much about All Souls say... So, I'll leave it at that.
Today was fairly uneventful, I was able to get a hold of a train for a nice trade route. I fly it under the name Cyrus so that the RM won't know I'm actually smuggling slightly... And to keep from being attacked by every pirate in the Sirius Sector.
That's about it for today. Its now time for me to retire.

Today was a nice day... I got to talk to Kristy... Very interesting person. Only female in the Rheinland Military that I ever met who doesn't hate me. You'd be surprised how many times military women beat the hell out of me. I may be good in the cockpit and on the bridge of a star ship... But in a fist fight... I'm a little... Well...Bad. Flying has given me good reflexes, but took away my ability to fight with my fists.... Oh well.
That got a little of topic. I've heard a rumor that I may be getting command of a cruiser soon.... That would be nice. I like the name ?rus. Sounds nice... And looks nice written down. That's all for today.

I know for a fact that I'm getting my fighter out-fitted with better equipment, and am being assigned a ship. I believe it is named the RNC Komet. A battleship, I believe. I now have a Large Train, Wrath, and future battleship. Today is a good day.
I think I'm gonna report to New Berlin, I believe that is where I'll be receiving my first command in the RM.

The past few days have been good. I was given a medal for being injured by Unioners, something I don't think I deserve. Being injured, unless for saving another's life, proves that one needs to become better. Although... I stood no chance to them, being as how I was not in any sort of control the ship.
I have also been given a small fleet that I will most likely scatter slightly throughout all of Sirius. Lets see.... The battleship is called the RNC Komet, the cruiser is called the RNC Aerus.... And I've decided to name the gunboat the RNC Reaper and remove the name from my fighter. That's my entire fleet. Four ships. I will be putting them to good use, as long as my superiors see I'm not breaking any code of conduct, which, to my knowledge, I am not.
I've been thinking about placement. One will need to be located in New Berlin, probably near the Dresden Jump Gate or Jump Hole. Another will probably be in New York to assist the LS in any of their problems, which would help our alliance knowing that they have backup in an emergency. There will be one in the Sigma-13 system near the Jump Hole to help protect New Berlin from the criminal groups that constantly use it.
The last... I may position in Kusari... I do not want our Diplomatic ship to run into trouble and have no support. I know that Kristy probably won't like it.... But it's dangerous for them to have no cover in an unknown territory.
As to which ships go where, I'm still without decision.
