Is there any way to have a preset /setmsg with /l in it so it's only a local message?

Ie. /setmsg 1 /l Stop your grinnin' and drop your linen!

If I run this as /1 it comes out on system wide comms as:

/l Stop your grinnin' and drop your linen!


I tried a few different combinations of this and I can't get it to work.

you can /l1 to broadcast the message to local and /g1 to broadcast it to group.

On the same topic, are /setmsg's frowned upon by the community in general as being a lazy persons tool?

I use /setmgs a lot because if you want to stop people the way I encounter them it is far more faster to do /l1 and then start writing more RP

so yes its a tool for those who can't type fast without making errors

That's the main reason I started using it as well. I also use it to initiate communication with the #t for reasons other than piracy.

Preset messages aren't frowned upond as such. Just try to make those messages good. You don't want to look like an automaton.
