blah

someone delete this ?
I would certainly like to see this tried out for a while if possible.
There are many benefits to this line of thinking, new tactics that could be used.
If it is indeed possible then lets give it a shot and see how it works.
Well well well, interesting discussion here, glad it happend.

So, if this is possible (/summon Canon), can we try it for 1 week or two ? To see what kind of change it will bring.
Just imagine how bounty hunters will be happy hunting their targets
And pirates who are trying to find hot spots.

*clap*
I never said there is no disadvantages.
lets make a mid point, long range sensors tells where are the players in lets 2 or 3 jumps away, but i always found pretty stupid know who is in Lorraine whe im at Gamma.
Hurah for realism!

I have found that the less temptation to metagame, the less metagame. Removing the system viewer would not only reduce that form of metagaming, it would eliminate it.

And for the people who argue that one would not jump to another system that was unknown, you are correct. No one in their right mind would do that. So hire an escort and have him scout ahead.
When I play, I figure my scanners can tell me what's in adjacent systems to where I am. I won't go after someone if they're on the other side of Sirius.
hide this in-game, but show it on a webpage (we used to have one)

because showing what player in what system sometimes are very useful
I'm up for it.

Somebody else mentioned it allready, so let me bump it:

Do it like the Unknown system.

Just question marks instead of system names. Can it be done without all of the systems becoming Unknown?
