this is what i get when i open my weapon_equip.ini......

i'm used to how it looks with discovery, is there a way i can get it to look like it should?

It is in .bini format, which is formatted ini.

Use a BINI decoder on it, and it will become legible.

Nope, Freelancer can read both bini and ini files.
