:PHey y'all. This Old_Sparta, a transfer from over at the Freeworlds/Tides of War community. I have been looking at Discovery for a while, and last night finally downloaded the mod. Looking forward to wast-I mean, spending lots of 'quality' (spare?) time in here on Discovery!
See you in space.

-(Jedi Padawan) Old_Sparta; aka. Zack O'Maille;)

Wow. Its gonna be a tad difficult getting used to the Discovery servers rules. Oh well. Let's hope I do not get myself in too much trouble, eh?
Welcome!

A good rule of thumb here regarding the rules is to not be an OORP butt. That covers about 99% of rule violations.

Anyways, if you're interested in a faction, try clicking on the Slavers Union recruitment link below.

See you in space!
You may not remember me, wasn't around very much on the Freeworlds server. But if so, I'm Calego. (go figure)

Yes things are considerably different from Freeworlds, to name a few, Tradelanes, concrete economics, no TE's, much bigger community.

If you're looking for cash and a good base to build your experience off of, I'd be priviliged to have you join up on the ZoE. We can help you get set up and start making money mining. If that doesn't appeal to you, I'd suggest looking around for an active official Faction. If you just feel like flying around looking at the purty scenery, and occasionally doing an escort job or two, going Freelancer is the best choice.

See ya round Sirius.
Welcome to Disco!:yahoo:
Welcome to disco,

Hey foreign exchange student. You can stay at my place.
Welcomez!

Just ask experienced players if you are unsure on the rules. (Pm of course)
Welcome to Discovery. If you need any help, try the skype help channel (I think it's still active) or talk to anyone with a [The_Angels] tag in their name, or pm any of my characters (I'll try to answer any questions you have as long as I'm not in the middle of fighting someone, pirating someone or fleeing from someone screaming "eeeeeek!").

I'd suggest joining a faction. They're a good way to learn how to play an RP role, and many of them will give you some cash to set up a ship.

A few things which are also quite important to know on Discovery are: 1. Never Joust a bomber. 2. Xenos, phantoms, keepers, Das Wilde, the SCRA, and the GRN are usually not your friends. 3. Mining helium in the blue field next to planet Erie is a good way to make some credits when you start. 4. Despite our RP rules, not everyone tries to RP.

Good luck out there, and remember, bringing a hostile capital ship anywhere near the Leeds system is likely to get you bomberspammed (unless we decide to break out the battleships)
Welcome to discovery, if you need any help, add me on skype: Stunner222 also, skype is a must-have if you'd like to join a faction.
Welcome my friend.

Whee, when reading your topic title I thought of a spambot wasting forumspace again. Dunno why.
