' Wrote:Ok, we allready have a /fm command to msg all people with a certain tag.

Could we prehaps get a /msgID command so as to message all people with a certain ID/GuardID ?

IE: /msgID Zoner/Corsair/Outcast whatever.

This could be pretty useful.

Prehaps limit it's use to three messages per IP per a set time period, with a higher limit for messaging your own ID (or limit it's use to your own ID).

This could be used for RP (IE: a military officer calls for backup) as well as for recruitment or hiring escorts (IE: a Zoner messages Zoners looking for an escort, or a Samura| rep contacts all Samura IDd players offering Jobs) and would be quite intersting, as it would allow for newer players to be contacted a lot easier.

Also, prehaps have such a message (if possible) use a new chat color (or send it as a Console message, IE: " Console: NAME messaging all X IDd vessels: MESSAGE).

I thought this was a rather interesting idea, though it definitely needs some development. Instead of creating a free for all messaging war, though, i think this could be limited with a few changes and allow a lot more realism and a lot less dependence on live communication outside the game. Here is my version of this idea:

The /msgID command can only be used by those that have a guard ID and only sends messages to those with the same ID or it's corresponding standard ID. Basically this will allow "officers" to distribute information down the chain of command. Now this can also be limited by so many messages/time if need be. Also, as I believe guard ID's are much more rare, this will limit the number of players that can use it and therefore the abuse. I think any abuse could easily be countered by players by using the ignore command.

Another way to prevent any annoyance would be to create another command, say /msgIDoff to allow the individual player/character to turn off display of these messages.
It is a good idea, also helpful when you need to control 40 guys going mad against a RP and warning them all of the upcoming event and such stuff.
If it's set so you can only msg your own ID, and only some guard IDs can msg ALLIED IDs, it could work w/o too much abuse.

Especily if there is a lengthy flood limit for it.

that, or just make such messages be RPd as expenseve neural net transmissions, and cost 1mil each.

5mil to send messages to the INBOX of offline players.
I rather like the pay option Mudd. Also I thought of a few other uses. Such as announcing training sessions, looking for party members and perhaps even RP sale announcements.

Still looking for feedback/comments.
No, thanks.
It's enough spam for me already, sorry.
As being one of the most spammed factions' leader, I don't think it would add anything extra as "Spam" so I would definetly willing to have this option.
