I was going to make an SRP request about it, but another member of CR said that when he made an SRP request about getting a luxury liner with Freelancer ID/IFF, he was told that he could without one. However, he doesn't have the message that validated this, so I'm wondering...

Can I, with a freelancer ID/IFF, buy a luxury liner without the need for an SRP request?
Freelancer ID Wrote:Pilot carrying this ID is a Freelancer, who :
* Can trade and escort traders
* Can fulfill lawful and unlawful bounty contracts
* Cannot pirate, but can provide security services for pirates who are pirating if paid to do so. Freelancers can only fire on traders or smugglers in self-defense or if the trader or smuggler fires on or is bountied by the Freelancers's employer.
* Cannot demand contraband unless specified in employer's bounty
* Cannot use any transports with more than 3,800 cargo
Allowed ships: Fighters, Freighters, Transports, Gunboats

Carrying unmounted IDs in your ship, as well as not equipping an ID, is a serious crime
What Sprolf means is.... No.
Gracias. I'll prepare an SRP request for when I have the money.
Researcher allows it.

Though you are restricted on what you can trade.
This would be humanitarian aid work, e.g. relocating refugees and bringing back meds etc., and it seems awfully weird that I'm moving people in cargo pods.:P
In the interim you could use a Yacht or a Geisha, they're both transports according to the rules. ALthough the Geisha is a little less popular in Bretonia, for obvious reasons.
Yeah Researcher ID wouldn't fit the bill for this.

My suggestion: to avoid the wait for an SRP request, simply get a BAF ID and a Royal Liner for lawful work with Bretonian refugees or get an OSC ID for a Royal Liner or Luxury Liner. Nobody says OSC can't be involved with humanitarian work.

You can still wear a Freelancer IFF without an SRP request.

Oh yes and what Thexare said works very well too.

Not to mention that a yacht, while still expensive, is a lot less expensive than a Lux or Royal Liner.
Yea, but it also means a lot more time actually going back and forth with the refugees. The luxury liner is the most efficient way, and I can wait for an SRP, as my heron will do for now. IT's just a little strange.
The Geisha's really not that bad a choice, though. 500 less cargo, but a much better fit than a Heron. And only 60mil.

Just have to talk to the Bretonians about it, but they shouldn't mind.
