Alright I know this definetly has been asked before and I tried to find a topic like this. As usual I failed :P

Anyway, a while ago I read that a Pirate ID'ed ship with freelancer IFF always has to make a demand prior to engaging. But is this the case for every encountered ship or only with transports?

For example:

Pirate ID'ed player is "friendly" or "allied" to the outcasts and he is allowed to use their technology. the pirate ID'ed player happens to come across a corsair, so does he has to make a demand before he can engage this enemy? Or is regular RP sufficient?
Quote:Pilot carrying this ID is an independent Pirate of the Sirius sector, who :

* Can demand credits or cargo from traders and unallied smugglers or factions
* Can trade and escort smugglers
* Can ally with unlawfuls, mercenaries, and freelancers
* Cannot ally with any lawfuls
* Cannot use any ship with more than 4,300 cargo capacity,
* Cannot land on any lawful bases across Sirius except for Zoner bases

Allowed ships: Fighters, Freighters, Transports, Gunboats

Carrying unmounted IDs in your ship, as well as not equipping an ID, is a serious crime.

The pirate ID lacks a line that says 'can engage...' so yes, the pirate ID cannot attack anyone if they didn't refuse a demand for credits, cargo, ammo, regens,...
Or if fired upon first.
Thats not 'attacking', but self defense :P
Aight, at least now i'm sure, thanks.
