welll...i noticed there is very little to go on in terms of general ore mining ships....basically the only effective choice is the hegemon....but being as that the hegemon needs a certain tyope of player or skill to pilot it....that puts alot of players at a disadvantage whereas there is a fighter or bomber for every single play style and skill lvl imaginable


i think version 4.86 maybe should include some more mininig ships

i personally would enjoy a ship with a mining bonus similar to the hegemon..but with like 750 less cargo....so that way agility or firepower could be increased

there should be mining ships with the bonus of the hegemon...that are mindbloingly enourmous that can only equp mining turrets

and then there should be mining bonus ships that have enourmous firepower

i think this would really help bring balance to the "entire world v.s mienrs" situation

The problem is, Mining is not Meant to be Done Alone!
There are already more than enough 'Mining Ship's Ingame in my opinion, they are just... Not usable for lonely Miners. Believe it or not, 2 Mafics, a Transport and an Escort working together, make more money than when each of them want to mine alone.
Join a Mining Faction and work in Groups, You'll see what I mean.

Adding more variety to Mining Transports, will actually ruin the whole point of Group Mining.
In my opinion, The Hegemon must even get Less yield than Ships like Mafic or Dacite, so this would encourage group work.

So, my Personal Opinion about this Idea, is: Nope, Thank ya.

Indeed mining freighter will be nice to be seen and I would like to see Hegemon pirice at least - 70-100 mill- it is rather strange that ship value is only around 25 mill and the cargo value of full of gold Hegemon is 44 mill.
But someone needs to make this ships and this is not so easy. kersch_wasser if you want to help then try do design such ship. There was good attempt of IMG mining ship design- I dont know if it will get in the mod or not.
