As to your question, battleship's pulse and razor guns have long fire range. So be aware of it if hostile
The ship shoots at you, you're just far enough away that the projectiles are invisible.
Speaking of which, I need to go yell at someone to pull the missiles off of NPC cruisers- with them, you don't even know there's something that could shoot at you.
