Hey there, im just thinking of buying a Geb, but not quite just of its primary function?
Where can it go?
Can it go into New York or just into the omicrons?
Order ship into NY? They shoot you out before you say hello.
Yeah, you would mainly use it in the Omicrons, rarely in the Omegas or Alaska.

If you manage to sneak into connecticut, this could be the only chance to fly in "Liberty":P
Nooo bring yer Geb to New York. Really.
I want to see the Q_Q
Ahh....
"Discovery Gaming Community > Discovery HQ > Welcome!"
Why is this in here?
Lol its a Light Carrier not a BattleCruiser
To sum all the comments above and add a few notes:
  • You can ask your future similar questions in Tutorial & Support Section.
  • To see details about this and other Ships, you can always check Wiki.
  • The Geb is a 'Light Carrier', not a 'Battlecruiser', but that's a Minor detail anyways.
  • Order in General, and Specially their Capital Ships, are not advised to enter House Space at all (Including Liberty), unless they have a Really Good RP Reason. And Even when they rarely do, they have to keep low and stay out of sight.
  • Order Ships are banned from Omicron Gamma, so if you enter there, you'll most definitely get shot down by Corsairs.
  • Generally, Order Cap Ships don't have much use, as they're limited to mainly 3 Systems (Minor, Delta and Kappa - Apart from their Guard System and the two Always-Empty Nomad Edge Systems), unless you want to do some outstanding RP with them.
  • Geb might have a Battleship Shield and Thruster. But is not much of use in Fights as it'll be most definitely be targeted first (unless there are some Osirises around) and will fall in matter of minutes... And its Close-to-Battleship Maneuverability makes things even worse.
Now, that pretty much sums it up that buying and equipping a Geb is more or less waste of money and time (Same goes for any other Capship if you ask me) But if you still want a Geb so badly, this is what you need to do:
  1. First and Most, after getting enough cash to buy the Ship, You have to get an Order Guard IDed Ship.
    - To do this, You have to do around 30 Normal Order Missions in One of the Ship Classes allowed by Normal Order ID, and it'll slowly increase your Guard Rep. Once your Guard Rep is full (9 Blocks Green) You can buy the ID.
  2. Once you have the Rep and the ID, You have to fly to Evora Shipyard in Omicron-100 and Buy the Ship.
  3. Tag for Order Capital Vessels is OCV-, and they usually name their Cap Ships along the lines with Egyptian culture.
  4. When it comes to equipping the Ship, many prefer different loadouts. But what is for sure, is that you'll need a Good Cap Armor (Cap4 or Above). Because an Armorless Geb, or even a Geb with low Armor, wont really last long in any fight - Even against NPCs.
Now that you have the Ship, You'll have to get used to all the restrictions that covers Cap Ships.
  • First, You'd better have a look at Order Personnel Directive. And also register your Ship at the Roster (Although Registering is completely optional, but encouraged).
  • And to answer 'What you can do with the Ship?' you're pretty much limited to either Running NPC Missions against BHG Threshers from Isis (Which are usually the High level Missions), or sitting by Toledo and waiting for a BHG Raid... Other than this, there is not much of a use for a 'Carrier', unless you want to get involved in some Group RPs where you act as 'Supply Point' for the Smaller Crafts during their Recon Missions, which is Sadly pretty rare among Order.
And well, I also have a 'Personal Advice' for you... Don't get close to Minor or involved in Order RP unless you have some strong patience. Cause, well... Amount of 'Not-So-Good-RPers' around Order Space is so high that it'll ruin your enjoyment in matter of days. And also, Getting Capital Ship For any faction just adds some Limitations compared to a Fighter or Bomber from same faction. And if you ask me, it's not worth it unless you have some ideas for your RP that can't be done in a Snubcraft.

Either way; Your Money, Your Time, Your Game. Enjoy it the way you see fit, and Good Luck.;)
Theoretically, your Order zone of influence is all of Sirius.

But since you aren't friends with the right people, the only place you can fly your Geb in without getting flamed is omicron 100.

Welcome to Discovery gaming community!
Well thats that then. No Order Battlecruiser for me.
Thanks for the assist

That is not true. You can patrol many of the systems around Minor, as well as the nomad worlds. There are opportunities for conflict and roleplay with Nomads and Bounty Hunters and there will be lots of things to do with the release of .86.

If you are going to post sweeping, untrue statements then post them in flood and not in a Welcome thread where a new player is asking for advice.
