so I haven't played Freelancer in ages, mainly because I had never heard about Discovery until quite recently, so I thought I'd give it a go. So, whats the best way to get involved with the Bretonian Armed Forces?

Good to see some new comer who's interested in anything other than Liberty Navy:laugh:I hope you're more interested in Fighters than Capital Ships (Which, over time, you'll realize are rather useless) Best way to start is making a new Character, logging on and typing /restart liberty , which will put you on Planet Erie in a brand new CSV (Check Wiki for more info on /restart or any other Server Command), then you can trade the CSV to a Rhino from Ship dealer (Don't forget to transfer and mount the ID when buying the Ship) And start mining Helium in the Cloud behind Erie and selling it on the Planet. After you have enough money put together, you can move on and buy a better Trade Ship. Later, when you have enough cash to make a fully equipped Fighter, best way to start an Armed Forces char is to make a new Char, type /restart bretonia , and do enough BAF Missions to go full green with them so you can buy the ID and Ship... And then, Enjoy the action:P

So the BAF, eh? EH!? Yeah, you're looking for this. Alternatively, you could make an independent character (that is, a character who is part of the BAF non-player character (NPC) faction, but not part of the player faction that represents that NPC faction), but as a newbie, I'd advise against it.

Also, make sure you read The Rules, talk to the Angels about their new publicity push, and RP.

Also, mind the cat. Which still isn't as fun as the cannibalistic diplomats we used to have, mind you.
