Has anyone noticed that the pilots go between different alphabets?

I.E. Navy Iota 4-1 : Greek
Navy PAPA 3-1 : Phonetic

I just find that strange

I don't.

US Navy uses this very same concept, as does the United States Army, United States Marine Corps and United States Air Force.
The alphabet that the military uses goes as follows

Alpha
Bravo
Charlie
Delta
Echo
Foxtrot
Golf
Hotel
India
Juliet
Lima
Mike
November
Oscar
Papa
Quebec
Romeo
Sierra
Tango
Uniform
Victor
Whiskey
X-Ray
Yankee
Zulu

I is india, not Iota......That's what I was talking about (p isn't pi in that either)
Seems that the FL design team wasn't aware of that. It might be a game design error, or maybe it was intentional....

Well, I think it's GULF, as i have seen some military show scripts (JAG, NCIS, Stargate) have Gulf, not golf... *shrug*

Anyway, who cares..
what he posted was the NATO phonetic alphabet. It was also what some guy in the marines taught us (I'm his brother)
