it has taken a while, but it seems I am finally able to post, so I'd like to say hi.

Over the past couple weeks I've managed to accumulate a slave liner and a decently equipped griffin type light fighter. I think eventually I want to fly a brettonia cruiser as well, because I really like the fish shape of the brettonia ships.

Right now though, I just want people to play with, trading has gotten to be very lonely, and it seems without the ability to post in the forum, it is hard to connect to people and relieve the boredom of playing alone.
Welcome TO the Disco... You like Fishes? Then you can also try the Bounty Hunter Ships they are all fishes
Welcome to the forums bro.

If you get lonely while trading, just send me a message. If I'm available, I'd gladly trade with you/pirate you:D

so welcome, have fun, and don't let Zelot push you around:)
Welcome man, great way to connect with people and play with groups are official factions;)

Enjoy here
alright, I changed my griffin for a templar, doing missions and stuff is a lot easier now.

I am trying to get the hang of engine killing and spinning and strafing and flipping different weapon groups, doing all that at the same time is kind of tough but I can tell I'm gonna need it.

Having an actual human to help me figure out if I'm controlling things the right way and such would be ideal. I feel like the guy I'm aiming at is always off my screen and I'm spending more time spinning my ship around than I am firing at anything. The templar has 2x debs, a mini razor, and a bunch of adv splitters on it so far. I opted for the faster projectiles, hoping they would have an easier time with their targets. The missions in Dundee make me wish for even bigger guns though, especially when gunboats start shooting at me.

My slave liner cant get past liberty and Rhineland most of the time, (and even if he does, sometimes the wilde are waiting at the oother end of the jumphole into the border worlds, so my money intake has slowed down severely, mining is definitely a lot faster and lower risk than smuggling slaves and cardamine back and fourth between malta and liberty. There are lots of outcasts but none of them seem willing to escort me on such a risky adventure. Still, I love playing the slave liner and even though im habing money problems, id rather just make a new miner than get rid of it.

I want to keep my arrow as well though I haven't played with it very much. I realize that most of my fighting in this game so far has been "jousting" and I'm still trying to wrap my head around how to be effective with such a ship, I can't really do missions in the thing because more enemies spawn faster than I can kill them. The forum makes it look like I need to swoop at them and use mines, or replace my guns with missles.

I figure the grand ambition is to have one ship of each type, and have one a character in each variety of faction, so thus far I've got an unlawful transport, a house military VHF, and a freelance LF, that leaves gunboat, bomber, and capship for the ship types I still want to try, and mebbe bounty hunter, corporate, and something in Gallia for the remaining factions I haven't tried yet. I'm thinking 6 ships is about all I can manage time-wise anyway, but if I spread out the variety as much as I can, I can experince the most of this game and meet a lot more of you than I otherwise might.

RP wise I'm starting to flesh out Earl and Donatello a little bit. Donatello is predictably a greedy type guy with not much capacity for compassion or loyalty, he inherited the slave liner from his dad who was also a slaver, his mom was one of the slaves. Earl I'm thinking just to make the story a little more interesting, is perhaps one of the many slaves Donatello ejected after being stopped by the military, and is gradually working in debt to his rescuers with the eventual goal to become a trusted and productive member of society again. Mebbe I'll put these into paragraphs eventually, I have a feeling that nobody will read them.

Everyone has fun little pictures of their characters all photoshopped pretty with pictures of ships and faction insignias and stuff, plastered all over the forum. I have'nt quite got mine developed that much yet.
Hey.
