Sorry, when I read Microsoft Sidewinder I instantly thought about mice.

My bad.

I got the X6 a few days ago and I'm abolutely satisfied, great key response, smooth typing (important for me because I do lots of office work with it as well), no annoying noises when you press keys, superb optical appearance, compact size, detatchable numpad, easy to use driver for programming macros, adjustable illumination.
My only gripe with it is the weird placement of thr ESC key, which constantly makes me hit the F1 button instead.

In the end it came down to the looks of the things, and the fact that the later model G15 are sucky compared to the older ones.
Like wut.

Taking a bit to get used to a new keyboard, so excuse me if I make some crappy mistakes:P

Already linked all my Disco Cap names to the side macros, mostly just to test them out.
But of course I would never actually use them in game.
Or would I?

shortcut macros are ok, cheating macros are not.

No see, I tried to make a discussion on the rule blocking Macros but it was locked with little reason.

As at least two members of the Moderating team sees it (though I don't see wh their interpretation of the rule even matters), it's against the rules even to use shortcuts.

Anyway, this is off topic, even though this thread has seen it's purpose fulfilled.

Requesting a Lock/Flood.

I've been using the programmable keys on my Cyborg for FL ever since I got the thing and haven't gotten in trouble yet. Hell, FL's the whole reason I bought the keyboard in the first place.

The left six keys are set up for weapons groups, five on the right are programmed to dump message presets into local, and the sixth on the right is set for scanning people's personal infocards.

There'd be a discussion thread up for Macros in the Rules Subforum, but it got locked for no reason and I'm still trying to get it overturned.

Well, its ridiculous to ban them. So if I assign a shortcut to enter key, its ok but its not if I assign it to G1? pfft. I use macro shortcuts. If it is against the rules;

Order|CV-Immortal, Keeper.Xyr, Rand.Seith -> be my guest and strip them. Take pictures so I can see them naked.

Though I know that admins were ok with my usage since I had this conversation back in 2009 with them.

Well, they can't sanction you without proof or circumstantial evidence to your use of them... Which they can't get.

So uhh, even if you reported yourself for doing it, it couldn't stick.
