My friends been trying to register an account on the forums, but his name keeps getting deleted in the process of the admins verifying his right to post. His name was Wolfganghype, last I checked.
Any help on this would be appreciated, I haven't registered in a long time, and seem to have very little knowledge on this process.
Did he receive the email requesting that he validate the account?
You must use a valid email address to receive this email. If you do not, the account is automatically deleted.
Please note that usernames and email addresses that look like spam accounts are automatically deleted. This may be the problem in this case.

Yeah he said he validated his account. He was using a gmail account.
I use a gmail account and I got in just fine. Hope it helps to rule that out.
