Usually, when vieweing a topic, I get all of the replies in the order that they were posted, and I would flip through the pages to keep reading.
Now, for some reason, underneath the original post there is a list-like thingy where I have to click on a person's post to show it, and it only shows the messages which are directly replied to the previous post.

Could someone please tell me how to revert to the previous layout? It would be highly appreciated.

Under options in the top right corner of the thread, switch to Display Mode Standard.

Someone should really add a note to that layout in how to revert it, there's one a month, I swear.

Usually happens to me when I follow someone elses link somwhere.
I guess they have it set that way and it changes your settings somehow.
Still not hard to change back.

Agreed. Once you know what's happening and where the appropriate menu is.

I second the "Pinned note" suggestion.

It probably is a good idea to have a pin for this sort of thing.
