This notice serves to inform the ORI of appropriate and inappropriate behaviour as Zoners.

You have Zoner IDs and are thus Zoners. You will be treated as Zoners by other Zoner factions and players and should act like Zoners. The Zoner role play is diverse and there is significant freedom to determine your own goals but you need to these within the framework of the existing Zoner role play on the server.

Your IDs read:
Quote:Zoner Guard ID
Pilot carrying this ID is a Zoner Guard, who :

Can trade and escort traders
Can demand Zoner pilots from any ship carrying them and can attack if the demand is ignored or refused
Can only attack those who are : directly attacking Zoners or Zoner NPC faction allies, carrying Zoner pilots, diplomatically hostile to Zoners, or those who have violated Freeport neutrality
Cannot ally with anyone except against Zoner faction enemies, or to defend Zoners, Zoner bases, or Zoner allies
Cannot participate in any unlawful actions
Cannot fulfill bounty contracts except against Zoner faction enemies
The Zoner ID does not make you immune to piracy, pirates may choose at their discretion whether to exempt you from being pirated.
Cannot dock on any stations/planets/bases in lawful House space except:
Independent Miners Guild (IMG) Bases
Gas Miners Guild (GMG) Bases
Council Bases
Zoner Bases
Planet Erie

Can only attack those who are : directly attacking Zoners or Zoner NPC faction allies, carrying Zoner pilots, diplomatically hostile to Zoners, or those who have violated Freeport neutrality
This means that zoners are not allowed to attack other zoners. Do so is a breach of the server rules and the role play background of the zoners.

Cannot participate in any unlawful actions
Zoners are not allowed to do unlawful actions. They may trade in items of dubious legality but do not bounty or attack lawful factions.

Please comply with these guidelines and rules. If you do not, you may get into trouble and be sanctioned.

Keep up the good role play.

Any questions?
Captain Valek of the Caduceus here.

As the Omegas are not housespace, docking there should be allowed.
Since that incident with one of our allied transports, we have learned our stuff.

The bounties have been cancelled.

Except to one, all attacks on other Zoners were in a self-defensive way.

According to your quote, same as we aren't, the Omicroners aren't allowed to shoot us neither, as long as we do not "directly attack Zoners or Zoner NPC faction allies, (carrying Zoner pilots, diplomatically hostile to Zoners).

The last point is the point. Our faction is diplomatically hostile to the omicroners. The problem is we are zoners, too.

Are they allowed to shoot us / we allowed to shoot them (within proper RP).

The Order is "quasi-lawful", but also diplomatically hostile to us, as mr golanski declared.
How may the rules be applied there?

Regards

Valek

Simply put, no. You may not shoot each other while you are both carrying Zoner ID's.

Thank you!

What about the Order?

What about the Order?

By the Zoner info card, Zoners are allied with the Order and the GMG so you will NOT treat them as hostiles.
--------------------------------------------
It's moot answering this question for all players and all ID's.
By their ID, Zoners are forbidden from attacking other Zoners. Sub-groups can be hostile to each other if they choose to be, but such hostility must not break the rules as specified in the ID's.
Or, to put it another way, continued hostility that results in rule-breaking will be dealt with as rule-breaking and as a breach of canon roleplay.
I'm not sure if the Admins will approve but I'm going to put this out there.

If you ORI chaps want to role play being hostile to the TAZ, OSI, or the Omicroners; talk to the leader of the respective faction.

If the role play between OSI and the ORI follows a path where our factions should be shooting each other, I'm totally fine with conflict between our factions, so long as you use fighters/bombers and not your fleet of capital ships against us. We are a faction of fighters, bombers, and transports after all. What that means is, we won't report you for shooting us as long as there is current role play that supports it, unless you use capital ships.

You will however be subject to in role play consequences. That means, we will use faction rights including both 2 and 5 against you if you want to be hostile to us.

I'm of the mind that if the rules are getting in the way of role play, ignore them so long as everyone involved is okay with ignoring them. If even one person isn't, adapt the role play to abide by the rule set.

Edit: To be more clear. If our role play leads to hostilities, you and I must talk before any shots are fired. This is so I can ensure all of my people are aware and they all understand the role play.

No

This might be okay. Please note that if player submits a violation report - and I bet somebody will - then I expect you'll be sanctioned.

Alright so no faction rights. That is fine.

I'm an confused by the second statement. If someone files a report on me for shooting I know I will be sanctioned. Do you mean if this happens and one of my people files a report I'll be hit with a brick over it?

Edit: Not saying this is going to happen. Just saying I am open to it. OSI/ORI haven't met in game yet.
