Last time I used it was about a week ago, and it worked fine.
Today when I tried to start it, it crashed instantly.
I uninstalled, downloaded newer version and installed it,
but I still have the same problem.
As soon as the skype window opens, program crashes.
A bit of help would be appreciated. :(
Never mind, it suddenly started working...
It looks like it just needed a good old restart :D
I can't believe this is happening to me.
As far as I figured it, skype only opens on system start up, when I close it and start it manually it crashes each time.
Any thoughts?
Try this:
Open Control Panel/System. Open the Advanced tab, hit the first 'Settings' button, hit the 'Data Execution Prevention' tab, and turn it on ('Turn on DEP for all programs....'). Then hit 'Add' and put Skype on the list.
If it doesn't work, try downgrading Skype to version
4.2.0.169.

I'm downloading skype 4.2.0.169 as we speak, I read somewhere that this version worked for some ppl with the same problem.
Well it worked in my case, although after I reinstalled the OS I didn't have the problem anymore.
