The Hellfire Legion still maintains and uses several of the ships that became a part of it during its creation and several ships that were acquired in deals with allied factions over the past years. This list also includes many other notable ships of the Legion, which have been built or acquired over time.

Ships marked with an "x" at the end of their class designation are experimental themselves, or serve as a test-bed for experimental technologies, which necessitates explicit permission from High Command in order to command them.




Notes: The "Burning Fist" of the legion, the Ven'Gyr is one of the prime examples of the Legion's might. This Outcast Dreadnought has served in all of the Legion's major conflicts and has taken part in more battles than any other of the Legion's capital ships. One of the few vessels to survive the uprising virtually unscathed, and heavily damaging Ravager in the process, it still operates as well as on the first day and many outsiders believe that even if the Legion were to fall, this great beast would still march on, obliterating everything in its path like an unstoppable fire from the depths of hell.

Notes: Once torn asunder and forged anew, the Incursus dates back to times where the legion and the Black Squadron were close allies and men of myth and legend like Drake Thasus, Aralie Phelps and the Black Squadron's commander-in-chief, known as Dustin "Dboy" Hoff, roamed Sirius. By age the Incursus could be considered a relic like the Mentu and Ven'Gyr, but the ship can be seen wandering around Liberty day after day, often spearheading raids thanks to its elusiveness and agility, and striking fear into the hearts of men with each capital ship that ends up as a cloud of fire and debris after falling prey to this unforgiving manifestation of the legion's might. And unforgiving is its commander's nature just the same, as the Incursus is the favorite ship of the "Grace" AI, relentlessly plotting the destruction of more and more Navy assets without rest or mercy. A less known fact is that the Incursus is home to the Assault Reconnaissance Wing, a small group of specialists who, as the name suggests, excel at scouting hostile areas prior to legion strikes, amongst other more classified duties.




Notes: An older Spyglass, it was originally traded to the Lane Hackers at a time when the Legion was much closer to that group. This Battleship was recovered during the battle of New Year's Eve, 818, when the last of the Lane Hackers were kicked from Vespucci. The Fu Manchu was boarded by the Legion and the Hackers who resisted were killed. The ship has since undergone a retrofit, and serves as a support vessel for the Home Guard. Fleet Admiral Guy Dale is the vessel's commanding officer.

Notes: Previously the Lord Commander Tadao Mori's flagship, the Pandion is the sister ship of the Neo Terran Front's Spyglass, the Belisarius. Utilizing the most advanced electronic warfare systems, quadruple layer armor plating, standoff range and point defense weaponry, the Pandion is by far the most advanced ship in the Legion's service. Heavily damaged during the uprising, the Pandion spent months undergoing repairs at Leniex. However, those have recently been completed, and the Pandion is currently undergoing extensive modifications with new, secret technologies.




Notes: Formerly the personal ship of Grand Admiral LeBlanc prior to his early retirement, the Libertine has now been refit to be a state-of-the-art fleet asset and serves mostly as a training ship for the legion's capital ship crews in Vespucci. Regardless of that factor it remains a full-scale Hellfire Legion battleship which, while rarely seen on the battlefield, should not be underestimated just due to its lack of 'fancy history'. A permanent commander has yet to be assigned to the ship, until then the Libertine will keep fulfilling its current purpose. More recently, the Libertine has been redeployed as the Flagship of Task Force Warhammer.




Notes: Very little information about this ship is available. Only Legionnaires hand-picked by the Lord Commander have served aboard this vessel, and all are sworn to secrecy. During his tenure as Lord Commander, it was rumoured that Alan Markson was running a number of special weapons projects on this ship. For all intents and purposes, the Revenant does not exist.





Notes: These sister ships are the latest generation Arbiters. While they are more lightly armoured than some of the Legion's older assault vessels, they mount the Legion's finest weaponry and fastest engines. Their maiden voyage took them through the Walker Nebula, fighting territorial conflicts alongside the Red Hessians. Experienced gunnery crews ensure that the ships provide accurate and deadly fire support for the Legion's forces. The Minotaur and Manticore are currently assigned to the Home Guard.

Notes: Put into service several years ago by the then-Executive Commander Atheus, these ships have served the Legion well, particularly during the uprising. The Asmodai, now little more than a debris field around Leniex, was a Storta. Meant to be a multipurpose vessel, capable of eliminating both capital vessels and smaller strike craft with ease, it was Wainwright's ship of choice in its day. The Abbadon, another Storta, was designed to punch through the hulls of massive capital vessels with swiftness and ferocity. It still serves the Legion today, and was often favoured by Grand Admiral Raisu, before being passed on to the care of other fleet officers. The Iblis, a Scylla, was designed mainly for large scale engagements and the defense of Vespucci. Loaded primarily with point defense weapons, the Iblis is not to be trifled with by anything smaller than another cruiser.





Notes: Venerated Siege Cruisers, most details regarding the origin of these two ex-Navy vessels have since been lost. It is known that at least one of the Cruisers was captured from the Navy during an operation in Magellan. Their agility and firepower has seen them deployed with Task Force Gladius, but since Gladius was recalled from the front lines, they are being refitted in preparation for deployment in other regions.




Notes: This Hel-class Cruiser was repaired for the Legion by the Unioners, as part of an exchange of technology which strengthened the ties between the two factions. It is still undergoing field testing in order to analyse the performance of the hybridized technology. Considered to be one of Dane Kinnaird's personal projects, he is known to be spending an excessive amount of time supervising its development in order to ensure its success in the field.





Notes: These two Cruisers are second-generation Hel-class hybrids. Without the promise shown by the Carnifex, their existence would not be possible. They have not yet been assigned to a Task Force, instead being relegated to the Home Guard for the time being while their crews gain more experience in the new ships. Unfortunately, during a patrol in the Ontario system, the Purifier came under fire from a hostile Cruiser group, triggering a reactor breach that annihilated the ship.




Notes: The Mentu is an old Liberty Gunboat, another remnant from the uprising, which used to serve as Lord Commander Aethelu's favourite method of transportation, apart from being one of the most successful ships in combat while under his command. It is a venerable relic, and now on display inside Fort Leniex.




Notes: Once known as the Silverfire, this Liberty gunboat has undergone several major overhauls and experimental addons. Hardly bearing any resemblance to its predecessors, this gunboat has been most often seen under the command of Grand Admiral Raisu. Currently it serves as a mobile training asset, with new commanders for the legion's bigger and meaner capital ships being assigned to it every few weeks in order to judge their command performance. When not being used for training, veteran Gunboat captains command the Undaunted in support of Task Force Warhammer.
