Sirius Sector.. The immense domain of a mankind. Habitated, developed and integrated. Buy yet full of mysteries. Here, in this post, I want to discuss with you, reader, one of that mysteries - The Junkers. Billions of people swarming alongside Sirius, and most of them have a continuous history and defined personal role. Junker history, their role, their socios and its spirit, however, remain unknown for me. Where did they really came from? What is they real life like, and why did they decided to choose that way of life? How do they really threat each other, and how do they threat the reast of a world? Those are things I want to know about.
[font=Comic Sans Ms]Junker origins are incomplete. Various factions have differing views on where they come from. Supposedly, we are originally from Gallia, sent into Sirius to gather information and technologies. That's what the infocards say, however various Gallic factions contradict that. I've a theory that Junkers are infact the Daam K'Vosh, but that is neither here nor there.

Junkers are pretty much born into this life. While there are many separate Junker clans who may have differences amongst themselves, they are all incredibly protective of one another. Being a Junker means being free. Free of depending on a 9 to 5 job, free of various governments and groups that seek to dictate how one should and shouldn't live, what a person should and shouldn't do.

The daily life of a Junker is incredibly varied, from young pilots toiling in the debris fields, to hedonists sipping the finest wines watching the horse races. Junkers as a whole are incredibly rich from scrapping and fencing over hundreds of years, however this wealth is not distributed - Every Junker is expected to make their own fortune.

We treat others with suspicion. While Bob the Junker can count on Will the Junker to watch his back and even take a bullet to save him, we do not, and will never develop that sort of trust with outsiders. We trade and barter with the majority of factions, sure. But if you aren't a fellow Junker, we've no qualms with selling you out or stabbing you in the back if it benefits us as a whole. And we expect the same treatment from both our enemies and "friends". "If you aren't a Junker, you aren't part of the family"

Sorry for the rambling.
Originally Junkers came from Gallia. (That was written by Igiss himself so there'€™s no point in arguing it) Junkers were sent to Sirius to gather information for the Gallic monarch. They brought back trade lane and jump gate technology to Gallia. They kept a low profile in the scrap fields so people wouldn'€™t notice what they were doing. Soon people from Sirius started coming to them looking to get away from house life. Kind of like Zoners but shadier and Junkers didn'€™t actually leave house space, they just kept their low profile. Pretty soon Junker membership was made up more of people from the Sirius houses than from Gallia. One of the Junkers from a wealthy Gallic family, Vladimir Tinkerbell, formed the Junker Congress to promote the interests of all Junkers. Eventually the Junkers forgot about the Gallic connection and forgot about Gallia in general. Only the top leadership of the Congress kept the secret. The reason this happened is Junkers realized they could make more money running their scams in Sirius than working for the Gallic crown. When the minefield opened up, Junkers were expected to resume their old role but the Sirian Junkers did not want to. They chose to distance themselves from Gallia. They had a much better operation going on than anything Junkers ever had in Gallia. The Junker Congress is a pretty shady organization and its leaders are not willing to work for any house government'€¦.at least not officially and they certainly will not work for the arrogant monarchy in Gallia. There is a definite split now between Gallic and Sirian Junkers. Sirian Junkers will welcome their Gallic brothers who wish to join them, but there is no more active trade or cooperation between the two groups.
