Right, my Freelancer has a problem. A serious one. Whenever I am in a fight (2 or more people) lag and stuff spike and it becomes unbearable. But when capital ships show up, connection just dies (I warp everywhere and nothing is moving) so either I have to restart the game or change system (which takes up to 30 minutes till jumpgate/hole is activated). I met this problem yesterday during the battle at Omega-5. Can someone help me fix it? And no, it's not my internet connection

try re-installing in case you haven't already. I had some wierd lag spikes whenever NPCs would pass me on a tradelane which mysteriously stopped after a reinstall.
What's your hardware and software?
Did this started without any changes being made to PC (drivers, etc.) and FL?

Nope, it just started lagging
I will try re-installing the game hoping that will fix it.
Restarting your router may help also...

If its only happened in the last 2 weeks, its possible you have the same problem a lot of other people have. Unknown loss, and increased ping.
