Hey guys, id appreciate it if you could answer the following questions to the best of your knowledge.

Will the CAU's or ships be worth more, less, or will they change in value at all?
(specially concerned about value of a cau8)

Do we keep our ship, rep, and everything we have at the moment?( assuming only NEW things are added, OLD things are not taken away)

Thanks for ur time.

CAUs will most likely stay the same in value, and ships too probably. But i don't know for certain.

Yes, everything you have with you the moment before the mod changes to 4.86, will be what you have in 4.86. Though some of your equipment descriptions, icons, and maybe value will change. As will some of the ship models and animations with guns and what not.

I hope that answered your question.:)
Stats might also change, so that (on Battleships for example) there can be turrets mounted, which shouldn't be there, since the whole Battleship turret thing is getting an overhaul. This might lead to the situation the game says 'Possible cheating detected', so you better watch out for that.
things will be explained in detail again when the update is released - but in general

- when the mod is released, you should dock at once - if you were in space
- while docked unmount EVERYTHING ( weapons, equipment - everything )
- remount whats re-mountable and sell whats left over

the above will be important. the game is saved when docked - while being docked, you are kind of in "limbo" - when you undock, the game checks if everything is alright with you ( stuff mounted on the correct spots etc )

changes to equipment and stuff is never released prior to a public update release - cause it would make players earn money in ways that are not meant to be earned money with.

if there are any fundamental changes to reputations, faction relationships etc. - those are being announced sufficiently in advance to adjust to them.

there is also usually a 3 months grace period for players who need to re-adjust their chars ( like ships that changed affiliation etc. )
