This is going to hurt, but I wanted to say something about this and Kane locked the topic just before I was able to post. This is talking about the grey area Chopper posted about. For the record I do agree with the technical right or wrong that Kane clarified.

Here goes

When I attack in liberty, it is usually for a specific target. Then, of course, the compulsory six caps get involved, so after I kill the guy I came for I leave because it is ridiculous to expect a single light fighter to take on a group of cruisers even though I can usually dodge their fire indefinitely unless they are pretty skilled, there are a few.

I call it a withdrawal after my mission is done, but it is considered reengaging if I was to stay around after taking off. There should be a rule for when you are completely outclassed rather then defeated. I know it won't ever happen but I can dream. It just kills it for me when I am having a great fight with a few good fighters and a cap shows up guaranteeing no matter if I pull it off or not, I lose. I thank the players who understand this and don't kick me out every time when this happens. I try to show the same courtesy back when I kill an SA or LPI. I know they do not enjoy getting kicked out of their jurisdiction, and I know it kills their fun. I just ask that they don't attack me for 4 hours.

Agreed, and it's great to put forum-face to online-Basilisk. You have been an excellent wingman versus such circumstances, ie fighters, GBs, and BS oh, my!
Sounds like a good idea. After all, it is quite unfair when you get mobbed by indie BSs and BCs if you're alone in your fighter. I definitely think some changes are in order in regards to this problem.
So totally agreed.
i know the feeling
try being out classed tenfold.
i flew to gamma a few weeks ago in my claw (just ot buzz crete for no reason)
and turned tail and ran
why?
they had a crusier, plus two indie Osiris's
and i got pwned on the way out
so
/signed
but then again im one of the cap abusers now to since i have the birmingham
i prefer to use her for one reason: I love using her
PvP whores are every where...ppl just don't use common sense....no one would use an Battleship or even a Cruiser class ships to kill a fighter, it's a waste of proberty.....and that's what i hate about NY..indies spamming caps....then make things like bunch of cruisers or may be even a Battleship chasing few fighters or may be even only 1 fighter...and ffs, ppl feels good when a fighter got kill by tons of caps, they feel they are strong that way...no RP sense what so ever...>.
I must admit. It is delicious nailing a couple of fighters with the biggies (Destroyers, BC, and BS) in attendance all by my lonesome.
i know.....like in BF2..26 ppl raping 6 ppl in a 32 man server.....well..i have to admit too....you don't want to be the ppl who being raped..but you would like to be the ppl who rapes ppl....and i like base raping in BF2 LOL......
Personally, I hate flying caps and so see no reason to get one. But, it's pretty annoying to have some fun ruined by the adv. train who "hired" a bored indie Bship as an escort. What am I supposed to do? I walk away slowly (no cruise), and as long as they go back in tradelanes first, I'm okay...
I agree with all of this, and yeah I do get a warm fuzzy popping an avenger hiding 50m next to a pair of dreadnaughts.

I have been pretty appreciative of all the Cylon help lately, thanks man. It's always great to have someone watching your back.
