I'm coming back to Discovery Freelancer after a little less than a year. On top of the merging of a lot of IDs, I've noticed that there are multiple plain "Freelancer" IDs.

There's a Freelancer ID for sell for 500, 65,000, 80,000, and 1,000,000 credits. Is there any difference between these IDs? I've looked quite a bit and haven't seen an answer to this question.
Those are smuggler, mercenery etc ids merged into one freelancer, and all are good except the one that costs 80,000 is regular freelancer id with no rephacks.
I see now. I was under the impression that the ID's would show up as "Freelancer Mercenary", "Freelancer Smuggler", etc. Rather than plain "Freelancer". Thank you for your response.

According to tech chart, 80k one is a correct freelancer ID.
Another question regarding these Freelancer IDs:

Should I be following the description in game, or on the wiki?

Example:

The "Freelancer Smuggler ID" on the wiki says:

Pilot carrying this ID is a Smuggler, who:
1. Can trade and escort traders. Can smuggle and escort smugglers.
2. Can fire on other ships only in selfdefense, or in defense of a ship being escorted.
3. Cannot use any transports with more than 3,500 cargo, except the Pirate Train
4. May be engaged by lawful factions while carrying any cargo
Allowed ships: Fighters, Freighters, Transports

While the ID that I presume to be the "Freelancer Smuggler ID" in game (Just says "Freelancer ID", but costs 65k and has a picture of a pirate transport) says:

Pilot carrying this ID is a Freelancer, who:
- Can fulfill bounty contracts and escort other vessels.
- May not engage in piracy outside of a posted bounty contract.
- May treat trade vessels as a combat target in pursuit of a bounty contract.
- Cannot use any transports with more than 3,600 cargo.
Allowed ships: Fighters, Freighters, Transports, Gunboats
(As far as I can tell, all Freelancer IDs in game say this.)

No you dont understand, all the other IDs are getting the boot. Use the freelancer ID that costs 80k, ignore all the rest, and NEVER think the wiki takes priority over anything.
