Well the Tau war is over between Kusari and Bretonia but the political shenanigans are not and I want to get some things cleared up. The Kusari Republic has a kind of NAP that has been forced on them by Gallia... but in Bretonia we have their government allying themselves with the old Emperor so that begs the question, does Bretonia still not like homeland Kusari, regardless of their republic, are they gonna Q_Q over them (sort of) working with Gallia? Which begs another question, is civilian trade open between the two Houses again (Through the Taus or through Liberty / Rheinland)?
There is no war. Granted there is the Farmer's Alliance in Kusari that will nuke outsiders but that is not the point. With aggressions over and a new Republic formed, why not make friends? Or is Bretonia still gonna keep their buddy the Emperor and cut Kusari out because they can't do nothin' bout the French and their baguette battleship invasion?
Well the new Kusari Government Has trade pacts with Gallia if you have not heard. So the new government is trying to be friendly towards Gallia. That doesnt mean hostility towards Bretonia.
Bret working with Gallia is BIG NO!!!! Bret and Gallia are at war. Read the rules of Kusari house for further information on trading allowances. Through the taus requires perms from gallics or they will shoot you ( if you are a Bretonian pilot then for sure)
FA is currently supporting the old emperor ( think so).
Currently trade is illegal between Kusari and Bretonia, save for a few very specific exemptions. That'll be changing as soon as we get in contact with them, or them us. I'll do that tomorrow once I've got some RL stuff out the way, in any case.

I've been told were are officialy neutral with New Kusari, (though I consider them unfriendly as they are supplying gallia) all kusarian lawful ships are allowed in, except samura (though they are allowed in to supply the Ronin under BAF/BPA + Ronin escort, and are being considered for more privilages).
Though seeing as the taus are controlled by Gallia, trade into the taus requires a license. This does NOT mean trade between kusari/Bretonia is cut off. It must simply go through Liberty instead of the taus.
To my knowledge the official state of war between Bretonia and Kusari never ended - IE the Kishiro government is still "officially" at war with Bretonia. However, since Gallia has basically forced Kusari to keep their military no further then midway Tau 29 (under the threat of annihilating anything crossing that line, and having made good on that threat), the "war" between Kusari and Bretonia is pretty much over. Their armies have no places of contact anymore. How Bretonia views Samura and Samuran-backed factions (FA/Hogosha) in light of their relations with the Exiles is up to them.
Exactly. There hasn't Any comm channels between them ending the hostilities till now.(upto my knowledge)
I wrote news reports that appear in Kusari Bars that the new government declared hostilities to be ended.
But that is a one-sided declaration, there hasn't been any formal sit-down and signing off on an end to war.
My prediction? A formal ending of war will probably happen - but it wont be time for happy families any time soon. Kusari and Gallia have a treaty, and the Ronin and Bretonia have a treaty. There are still plenty of reasons for Bretonia and Kusari having a cool, if not icy, diplomatic relationship.
currenty BPA for example is blocking all traffic going into taus..apart of Harris planet where you can proceed with proper license and escorts - due to warzone in there.
apart of that as far as I know - Kusarians are more or less neutral apart of samura and their friends. that doesn't mean we like them...no - we don't but we try to focus on the new foe since Kusari stoped atacks on Bretonia due to Gallic invasion.

There's an armistice (they surrendered:P) meaning we're currently neutral. Armistice doesn't mean automatic trade though. Samura have got a very minor exemption in that they're allowed to supply the Ronin once they've paid 500mil and given us a list of the goods they want to move. Even then, they can be arrested for docking on anything that isn't a Ronin base.
Kusari corporations will be welcome once we make official contact with the Kusari government. Kusari companies count as those who identify themselves explicitly as Kusari. That's Kishiro, Samura and I presume Renzu. GMG doesn't count, seeing as they're an independent firm and we've had dealings with them before now anyway.
