It appears that the police managed to clock someone doing 300mph in Britain not too long ago.
This happened near Edinburgh on the A1.

Edit: I looked at the image and lol'd. Okay so the driver had responsibility...but NATO still has too much money XD
Didn't myth busters prove that you can't actually catch someone going that fast? Of course, the camera tech could have been upgraded since the episode aired.
