this game is to quiet, why not schedule a fight? but some massive war. Like in movies.
Many players here live in different timezones and also have other things to do outside of Disco. Scheduling a large event like that is quite difficult and therefore rarely done.
Say we plan one in like....2 months? When everything is fully set up (Docking, Cloaking, Jump drives) Then it will be a better time to do it...also server will be more stable.

Well, a lot of time before there was also a weekely event with pew pews on both sides, ended up in a mess of course. But nothing stop you to check in game, see if the enemy have some ships, gather your forces too and meet them somewhere to have a fleet battle.

Ye, and crash happens after that. Especially with 225 server cap.
this way, it wont happend anything in game, like dead space.
