Why is this a 'special' (imo) system? with its own music and background?
What's the reason for this?

what's the point of it when no one uses it? smuggling = pretty useless, and sairs aint allied with order anymore.. only sairs run to it for cover and missions so... i don't know the point of it now..

What's with Yaren? Why is it there?
There are so many bases and even systems that serves no purpose at all in this mod. Why are you so concerned with Yaren?

Yaren just seems so useless.
The problem with yaren base is that it is next to the bounty hunters staging point -in the middle of a warzone so to say. If there are bounty hunters around they start there and either go to visit the order or come to crete anyways, so there is no need to position ships there to fight.
Also as it has no real intake in commodities no smuggler comes by as they easily make much more money with trade at the freeport...
So ...no shooting and no trading makes it a more or less "dead" place
