I don'€™t want to hijack the Exiles/Junkers thread so I'€™ll bring this up here. Recently, (and by that I mean only a few weeks) I have noticed that the bounty hunter rep on my Junker characters is affecting the rep of other lawful ships around me. If a hostile bounty hunter npc comes into range everything else gets hostile as well. I have been playing on the server since June 08 and this has never happened. I was wondering if an explanation can be given as to why it is happening now.

Before anyone tells me to RP through this, let me point out that this has already been done. The Junker Congress has been in communication with Liberty about being harassed by hunters and mercenaries. In fact the Liberty Government has taken action against hunters and mercs that attacked Junkers without lawful cause. Therefore there is no reason that Liberty forces should become hostile to Junkers because of a few bounty hunters.

Furthermore, this actually KILLS RP. I'€™ll give an example. Junker is sitting outside Manhattan RPing with some other ships. Two npc hunters spawn and suddenly two bases, a docking ring, and a battleship patrol open up on the Junker and the Junker has to leave quickly'€¦..RP is over.

There was already RP in existence that opposes this.
It was changed without RP.
It makes it hard for us to continue RPing while the server count is low.
That's Lolberty for you.

I can't begin to count the number of times I'd be sitting in Texas, just waiting for some blockade runner to come through, and there'd come three Junker NPC's along to shoot me. Right in front of Planet Houston.

Note also that we still don't like Junkers, nor do we of the BHG actually care about your feelings. When we DO have lawful cause, we're quite happy to shoot the crap out of you. Actually, the only reason we're NOT hunting you down all over Sirius is because you whined to the governments of Rhienland and Liberty about us taking the Kusari bounty upon Junkers.

Just because you're trying to be doesn't mean that your hands are all clean. Junkers still go out and pirate people. Heck, there was a thread on here recently about a Junker pirating a group being escorted by Junkers.
He's not complaining about the BHG rep towards Junkers. His complaint is the empathy that sets every bugger red to him when a BHG NPC turns up. Those empathies are rather a hassle to a lot of people.
I had a similar issue when playing an indie junker a while ago. Seeing that the issue is only centered on npcs, I believe I fixed it, albeit temporarily, shooting alot of Xenos.

Actually that helps with most lawful factions.
Del's right Agmen, I don't care if the hunters are angry. I've been living with that for years and it's never been a problem. It's only very recently that they have been causing every thing else to go red around me. I literally had to dock my ship and give up the other night because I could not engage in the RP I was attempting with them spawning everywhere.
I definitely noticed it after the switch to 4.86 at some point. I was flying in Rheinland and suddenly the BS next to Bonn flipped red on me. Luckily I was able to hide behind Bonn.

I like having BHG npcs hostile with me as a Junker. I imagine a lot of people would want to put money on me, especially after the poker incident in Leeds. But because it makes all the lawfuls flip hostile, I've had to get my BHG rep to neutral.
It's only recently. I created a light fighter after the 4.86 release and was flying it all the time and having great fun. Now I can't take it out if the server count is too low, at least not if I want to RP with anyone in a populated area.
I made a thread asking about this a few weeks back. It's related to 4.86. What I ended up doing was docking my junker ships at Beaumont and shooting Xenos to make bunters non-hostile. It sucks though because it fit well with the rp of my character that bunters were after him for his heinous out-of-house-space deeds, but this resulting in Liberty Dreads shooting at me when bunters show is uncool. I can't remember exactly, but someone in the thread I made said something about bunters and house authorities having formed stronger bonds. I'll see if I can dig it up.
Even this is not as easy a rep to adjust as it used to be. Besides, with all the talk being thrown around about how we should be RPing our problems, I think it's much more inRP to keep the hunter reps hostile.
Bribes are just as much a part of the core game as ships and guns. Of course they're in-RP.
