Greetings, im a user of ubuntu on my laptop; and i tried to install discovery FL on it, and essentially i can run the game but i get no acess to the server list.

Its quite frustrating, because i get better performance in FL on linux ubuntu then on windows XP (the only windows OS that has drivers for the laptop.)

Can anyone of you run multiplayer Discovery FL on ubuntu? and if so, how?

Cheers

Won`t work.
Only dual boot
I think someone managed to get multiplayer working. I suggest looking it up in the wine app database. Google is your friend. :)

Hope this will help you btw i had it running under ubuntu 10 if im correctly. also the .net fixes installed on it and you are right it runs smoothly. but lately i run under vista x64 and also no probs.
I gave it another try... still cant go online, tried your links, and even direct IP.

What do you refer by .net fix?
Try installing directplay through winetricks?

Also, Xubuntu is better

I did installed it thru direct play, my present OS is linux mint.
Also tried running it thru XP via virtual box, the game performance is horrible.
Did you install the Virtual Box Extras?
