ive been only able to play on 1600 res with ok colors but still bad now i want to use my 1920x1080 screen. When i change my settings in the documents for the res, the text and the boxes are ok readable but the colors and the space background is horrible its all meshed up and i have no idea where to fix or get something for that i looked on google didnt find anything.
add "-dx" to the end of the shortcut, that will use the desktop resolution and color depth
there are some HD textures for starspheres, nebulas, planets, etc., that will make the game look better at higher resolutions, they are linked around here somewhere

However, the HD textures mod isn't 100% compatible. Only use the files for nebulae and planets. Starspheres if they're included. But not any for asteroids, bases, or ships etc.
thanks i did find one but the color problem is still there and each time i load up the game white flashing lights beam at me then it goes to the menu.

Do you have bloom actived?
I use to have the same problem.
Solution, deactivate bloom effect. Maybe that helps
i reinstalled everything without bloom same problem.

Is your desktop color depth set to 16-bit maybe?
well the bloom did fix the flashing white light, but the color blur is still there im i the only one with this problem i did try to put less gamma and change res no go, and the HD pack i got form here

edit: i just tryed 16-bit nope no go. thx tho
edit: wow got it to fix i had to delete PerfOptions and reopen the game.
